23.01.2022 Father's Day Stall 2020 At this years AGM, the P&C decided to suspend fundraising activities for 2020 and concentrate our efforts in supporting our school community. Consequently, as with Mothers Day, this years Fathers Day Stall will not be running - we believe this is in the best interests of our students, staff and volunteers - especially given the recent local COVID cases.... Please try to support our local businesses during this time - especially those who have supported our school for many years! You can check out our recent event sponsors by visiting Jindalee State School Fete & Jindalee State School P&C Games Night pages!

14.01.2022 Thanks Mt Ommaney Police Station!

12.01.2022 Today is a sad day at JSS. We are saying goodbye and best wishes to one of the best.. someone who has been involved with JSS since joining our community as a school parent in 2004. Since then, this incredible lady has been a teacher aide and many different, crucial roles in our admin team. We can't imagine our school without her, but are so excited for her new challenge ahead - we know she will smash it! One of our beautiful Yr 6 teachers summed her up perfectly, so we tho...ught we'd borrow her words.. "Nicole Taylor, our beloved Nicky, you are respected and adored by teachers, students and parents, in fact anyone who has anything to do with JSS. You are the backbone, the 'go-to' and the heart of our school. Always was and always will be. You are irreplaceable. When anyone needs information, something organised, first aid, urgent help with something, a cuddle or someone to help and support, it's you. It's always you. You are everything to our whole school and your absence is a massive hole that will not be filled. We love you and our hearts break that you are leaving. It's poignant that we placed the sign right next to the fire extinguisher. You are the one who always puts out the 'fires', often before they even happen." Nicky - we thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for EVERYTHING you have done for JSS over the last 16 years. We love you pretty lady!

12.01.2022 A very happy Australian Primary Principal's Day to our incredible leadership team at JSS! Penny, Diana, Louise & Petra - we are so lucky to have you leading our school. Your passion and commitment to your profession is inspiring and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done for our school community - especially this year! Oh, and looking back at your videos from COVID lockdown, you have some pretty rad handball skills and rock the Nutbush!... (Feel free to comment below and send your best wishes to our leadership team - we'll make sure they see it!!)

11.01.2022 Wait.. what? Happy Week 8 Hump day!

08.01.2022 Don't forget, we have a PUPIL FREE DAY next Friday, 4TH SEPTEMBER. As always, our SACP promises to be lots of fun. Bookings for this day can be made via the "My Family Lounge" app, using the "Vacation Care - All Years" roll.

08.01.2022 Kerry from Kerry DanceAlong has posted the following to the 4074 community page - can you help in any way? SUPPORT FTPECC FAMILIES IN QUARANTINE Hi Everyone! Lots of people have heard that there was an active Corona case that attended FTPECC on Friday 21/8/20.... FTPECC have been working closely with QLD Health, everyone is getting tested, they are having a deep clean at the centre - it is all under control. BUT all the kids and and educators families are in quarantine for a whole week! I was only at FTPECC for 45 minutes on that Friday for my usual Dancealong class, and I am also in quarantine - but this just goes to show how seriously QLD Health are taking this. It is really reassuring! So let us as a community support the FTPECC families doing it tough in lockdown this week - I know a lot of them are members of this group. We are creating some fun activities for the families to do each day - a dance comp, a dressup day, a craft day etc. The families are sharing photos and videos in their in-centre Storypark App. Some who are not FB shy may share those on the centre's Facebook page. I have donated Dancealong lessons, other FTPECC parents have donated some prizes too. We thought the community may like to contribute and support the FTPECC families in this? We reached out and Just Poppy's and Jindalee McDonalds have also donated some prizes. If you can donate a small prize please contact myself or Sandi Jacobsen the centre director, or head over to their Facebook page to comment. If your children want to write cards or messages of support and post them on the Facebook page that would be lovely. Have a great week everyone! See more

01.01.2022 Heads up JSS - its Australian Primary Principals Day tomorrow! Initiated by the Victorian Principals Association over 18 years ago, Principals Day has gained traction in jurisdictions around Australia and abroad. This year we've seen, perhaps more clearly than ever, the true capacity and calibre of our principals as they stepped up to the challenge of leadership through COVID-19. Take this opportunity to invite your community to celebrate the work of school leaders.
