23.01.2022 A handy hit for today. Seek a leak It is such a common thing we receive phone calls for. Leaks are common and not always in view which cost you hundreds every year is water bills and wastes our precious water supply.... This is a simple FREE check that you can do yourself to see if you have a leak, if it turns out that there is a possible leak, thats when you call us to come out and locate the leak. Below is a 3 step process on how to check if a leak is present. STEP 1: Locate your water meter Tip! This is generally at the front corner of your property. STEP 2: Test for leaks Turn off all taps and water-using devices. Write down the black and red numbers on the top of your meter. Wait 15 minutes and check if the red numbers have changed. If they have, you may have a leak that needs investigating. STEP 3: Seek that leak! Look inside for: Dripping taps Leaking or running toilets Washing machine and dishwasher connections Anything else connected to a water source. Look outside for: Leaking garden hoses and Irrigation sprinklers running when they shouldnt Dripping air conditioning units. Tip! Hidden leaks can be tricky to find. Look for: Grounds that are much greener than surrounding area Areas of lawn that are very spongy wet areas in paving cracks dont dry out.

18.01.2022 Emergency call out today where one of our clients had boiling hot water pouring from their cupboard. Turned out to again be one of the cheaper variety of flexible water connections. Luckily the owner was home and called us straight away. Please if you do one thing when you get home today, check any flexible hoses in your house for damage before its too late. Or if youre unsure, give us a call on 0438 996 575 and we can do it for you. Emergency call came in at 11am and we we...re on site by 11.25am due to our aim to put emergency plumbing first for our clients! Problem solved and back in hot water by 12pm. 03.01.2022 Today, JTM Plumbing received a call from one of our commercial clients in Malaga after noticing the water meter to their complex was spinning out of control. Using our state of the art leak detection equipment we managed to find the culprit, a leak on the properties fire main half a meter under concrete and rubble. Due to the huge water pressures involved, this could only be fixed using a poly electro-fusion welder. Luckily all staff at JTM Plumbing are trained not only leak ...detection but also in the use of such devices as this high tech welder. Two hours later, the complex was back under the protection of their large fire service.
