We pride ourselves with... offering the best quality high performance training on the Gold Cost with experienced, qualified and passionate coaches that are willing to take every players footballing ability to the next level. This year we have added a new program to the academy which will look to focus on players aged 9,10 and 11 years old looking to go through our successful pathway. We also look to expand our current regime with our academy players aged 14 years and above that has seen us develop 20 professional footballing opportunities. Look no further The Academy of Football Australia will begin a pre training program for players ag...ed 9,10 and 11 years old The program will be run by JTP Academy in partnership with the Academy of Football Australia, which is owned by (me) AFA coach Jonathon Pritchard (Jonno) who is currently completing his FFA B License and has a Diploma of Sport Development (Football Specific with the Brisbane Roar). The program will run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15pm-5:15pm starting on the 17th August until 28th October, and will include a shirt and shorts for training. The aim of this program is to start building a core foundation of players to help prepare for the AFA and Nerang Soccer Club to incorporate a new generation of young players and teams into the academy system for next season. We are looking for committed and serious players that want to train and play in an academy environment. 11.01.2022 So far we have had great success with our AFA Pre academy players. Working with dedicated and enthusiastic 9,10 and 11 year olds has been a great addition to the academy. Keep a look out for more or call us if interested on 0452052608

11.01.2022 A study was done by Griffith University on clubs around the Gold Coast. On average they tracked that most children only touch the ball 200-250 times a session. ...After requesting this study we decided to change this in our own way. At AFA, on average every player touches the ball 1000 times per session, at a high intensity with a purpose on developing the individual in a team environment. This number can increase to 2000 and even 3000 touches during technical sessions. With that statistic. AFA players train much more than even 4x the amount in one session that the average club player does each session. Times that by 3-4 sessions a week and you might as well look away... you're missing out? We are currently taking expressions of interest for u10s, 11s, 12s, u13s, u14s, u15s, u16s and u18s all in the highest divisions on the Gold Coast. 08.01.2022 No seriously though Everyday I hear players say I want to do this, I want to do that, I’m going to do this and sometimes I ask myself the questi...on above. How much do you want it though? Too many players want it handed to them on a plate. Some players think that by training 3 times a week with their team is enough It’s not even close. Some players don’t have a clue what it is like to get there, stay there, progress there & be consistent. That is why we started @jonersfm We have coaches that have been there and done it and experienced all the highs & lows of football. 01.01.2022 **Academy of Football Australia Training Trials 2021** 1st December - 17th December U11 Kangaroo - 3 x a week, long term & introduction program U12 JPL - 3 x a... week, long term and introduction program U15 JPL - 4 x a week, professional pathway opportunities U18 JPL - 4 x a week, professional pathway opportunities Highly qualified FFA B, Diploma, Dutch, Professional Football Scouting Association, Coercer licensed coaches. Professional overseas pathways such as Manchester city, Shrewsbury Town, Leicester City and many more. Teams will play in the Gold Coast leagues under Nerang Soccer Club and be trained by AFA coaches. These trials will be held at the Alabaster Sports Complex entry is via Nerang Broadbeach road West (opposite the Carrara indoor centre) u11 Kangaroo and u12 JPL Mon, Wed and Thurs 4:20-5:20pm u15 JPL and u18 JPL Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs 5:30pm-7:30pm AFA's view on trailing. A player turns up to trials, they may be nervous, sick, could be having an off day or could perform really well. The point is, how can you judge a player after only seeing them once or twice. Could they improve ? did they get lucky? Our idea of training trials are to take players on to see not only their commitment to both our and their interest but to also truly measure the player and his/hers ability.
