23.01.2022 Huge effort by homebred Lasting Grace to win a Showcase Mdn at Tamworth today over 1600m. To her dedicated trainer Kristen Buchanan we all say thank you! Wasn’t there today, spent a great day out on the water with my boys and the man who foaled her down and stood Direct Charge, my great friend Steve Fell.

JAZZLAND was a...t his best and even though the stable mate BRAZEN chased gamely it was JTR Farms star who prevailed. 05.01.2022 Some much deserved Kenzi Cuddles awaiting Jazzland today when he returns from his South Grafton Victiry. He will have a week at home to recover and will likely head to the Coffs Harbour Cup for his next assignment.

04.01.2022 Ever wondered what $1.6mill can buy you? 5yo mare Booker, a Gr1 Oakleigh Plate winning daughter of Written Tycoon was sold at Inglis’s Chairman Sale last night. Bought for $230k as a yearling by B &M Griffiths she earned $856k on the track and now purchased by Coolmore. Saw her earlier in the week on my travels, just a beautiful, strong mid sized mare with a good action. Hope I can find one like her at the sales!

02.01.2022 Wonderful to see 22yo Carael Boy enjoying his time at JTR Farm. Helping me (well not really) doing some weeding in the paddock. Latter in the week his family came and visited and as always the complete gentleman. A true warrior on the racetrack and just a nice bloke in retirement!
