19.01.2022 What a fantastic effort to all our juniors and our two seniors for grading on our last lesson for the year. BIG thanks to Len for travelling down from Devonport to do our grading. A big thankyou to Matt and Sam for your coaching during the year - it’s all voluntary and we appreciate all that you do. Finally the biggest thankyou to all our members and of course the parents for your ongoing support of our club - we truly value each and every one of you. Have a merry and safe Christmas and New Year and we look forward to seeing you all next year.

17.01.2022 Hi all, This Wednesday night will be our last training night for the year. How fast has this term gone!!! All of our members, Juniors and Seniors, have done absolutely brilliantly and we couldn't be prouder of their efforts and enthusiasm each week. This Wednesday will see some of the juniors and some seniors grade. Not all will be going through a grading, and for those that aren't - you will get a chance when we start back next term. it will be a great opportunity for you to see though how a grading is done. The grading fee is $35. If grading fees could be paid in advance before Wednesday, that would be appreciated. 03.01.2022 Hi all, Please see below the email from Ginkan inviting our members to participate in their end of year fun day. For players who are ready to take their judo to the next level and want to try out a mini comp - this one is for you!! Emphasis is on fun and just getting on and giving it a go. Numbers will be small so just a good chance see what being involved in a competition is all about. I would highly encourage anyone to give this a go. If you are unsure - please ...message, email or ring me (Nat) or any of the coaches to talk about competing. Those that are interested - you will need to let me know ASAP with your age and weight. INVITE: Ginkan Judo School has invited Bridgewater Pcyc Judo Club and Launceston Judo Club to an end of Year Fun Day of mix and match teams event followed by a BBQ sausage sizzzzzzzzzzzzle. NO Entry FEE. Food & Drink provided by Ginkan Judo School. Saturday 12th December 2020. Start time 10.30am with BBQ to follow For athletes it is a great opportunity to meet Judo people from another Club. Emphases is to have fun and enjoy Judo. The Teams event is Open only to Junior Boys and Girls 14 yrs. and under. Participating athletes will be sorted into age and weight category. 8 years and under. 9, 10 and 11 years. 12, 13 and 14 years. We ask that Senior judoka also help out with team support and officiating. Everyone can be involved BBQ Chef’s, tea & coffee cafe. Parents can enjoy watching this different event format. If you would like to participate and enjoy the atmosphere this is for everyone.
