25.01.2022 JudoSA Covid Update 4 Tonight the South Australian Government released the latest Emergency Management Direction. The Emergency Management Direction can be downloaded via the link below: https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au//Emergency-Management-Publi... It appears that members can resume indoor full contact training tomorrow, but must maintain the 1 person per 4 square meter spacing - as was previously the case. There appears to be no differentiation between contact and non-contact sport. The SA Police website simply states - 'Fitness, recreation activities and sport can resume. Swimming or other activities at swimming pools used by the public are permitted to operate providing there are no more than 50 people in a pool at any one time.' Further, a Covid Marshal is required onsite for Sporting Clubs, as was the case previously - 'A reminder that a COVID Marshal is required for the onsite purchase ad consumption of food or beverages, ceremonies, private function, supermarkets, hardware stores, distribution centres, gymnasiums and fitness centres, swimming pools used by the public, sporting club or any event with a COVID Management Plan. COVID Marshals are not permitted to undertake any other activities where there are more than 200 people.' You can find more information at the SA Police website https://www.police.sa.gov.au//updated-covid-19-directions- and the SA Gov website here: https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/emergency-/public-activities

01.01.2022 Judo SA COVID-19 Member Update 3 Good Afternoon, Thank you everyone for your patience, it has been some time since my last update. Rather than clog your inboxes with nothing of value to share I have been waiting for the latest Emergency Management Direction to be released. I am disappointed to say that I am still waiting. ... I have been in contact with the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing and - like the rest of us -they too are in the dark at this stage until they can view the same document. The directions are required to be released by midnight tonight and based on previous experience we are not likely to see it until this deadline. I am hoping to have an update for you overnight. I am concerned about the language used in reference to recreational sport, specifically - 'Community sport resumes under modified plans to limit potential virus spread'. What modified plans means is my concern. Thank you to those clubs who have reached out to me to discuss the current restrictions. Fingers crossed that I have good news for everyone overnight. Regards Jason Polgreen
