24.01.2022 Another LINU from JuJue Cold Pressed. Sweet, oh sweet corn. Heavily argued over the fact that it is technically a fruit, it is also a grain, But then again, it is a vegetable, too. What the heck, let the scientists have fun over that, we have fun eating it. Agreed?... This little, sweet, yellow bundle of pops isn’t just fun to eat but it is also very little on sugar, despite of its nick-name Sweet Corn. On a flip side, it is loaded with the two phytochemicals zeaxanthin and lutein, both well known for promoting a healthy vision. Always thought only carrots are good for the eyes, huh? But that’s by far no all. The insoluble fibre of corn also feeds the good bacteria in your gut, contributing to a better gut flora and digestion and, guess that; corn may as well getting to work on you to help you shed some pounds. Loose weight? Huh? Isn’t corn full of starch and makes you rather put on weight and raise your blood sugar? The answer is; it all depends. True, corn carbs do derive from starch which, if eaten too much, can raise your blood sugar. The emphasis here is on too much. Begs the question what is too much. Well, I let you figure that out for yourself. On a flip-side, Corn is loaded with fibre and fibre is commonly known for its ability to balance blood sugar levels. So there you have it, Raise or drop. As always, every good comes with a bad and vice versa. It all depends on your food balance, first and foremost. There are but a truck load of other benefits to eating corn or, like I do, juice corn (though, never on its own but mixed with other veggies). Never about yourself? I meant to mean Your engine, you body! ... Fermented, aged and herbs too, yet as simple, simple can't get more simple, ...or simpler? Heck you know what I mean. 05.01.2022 Amazing. Sometimes it takes a merely 19 seconds to throw your credibility out the window (let alone the rest of his short self-destruction crusade). The saddest part of it is, though, decorating yourself with a doctor title will have a huge number of ignorant Jo Bloke folk step into his trap. If you care, however, to scroll down and R E A D, he contradicts himself or, shall I better say he pulls himself onto a rubber safety island by saying; 'Tomatoes naturally produce a toxi...n called solanine, which is rumoured to make arthritis worse.' Emphasis is given hereby to the word 'rumoured'! It is true, Solanin 'Can' make it worse. Doesn't mean it 'Does' make it worse. And here I come with my everlasting telling you: Don't just accept anything that comes from a doctor (sorry, doctors). We are all 'Bio-Individuals' and as such, we need to look at and approach anything that is said, with a personal touch. What may be poison for them, may be beneficial to you and visa versa. In clear and I'm sure you've heard about it a many times, you need to find out which of the two is you by applying the elimination process. My warning goes out to "everybody" scanning the internet. Only because there is a title or accreditation or years of experience behind something, doesn't, and never will, mean that is 'You'.
