20.01.2022 Lots to do today! Macaroni and peg race, blowing up gloves using straws, play dough imprinting with leaves. Kinetic sand shaping, dress ups. We watched the Dadlab experiments and discovered we can do it too and we did!

18.01.2022 Over the last few years this baby doll has almost caused a me heart attack on more than one occasion. The first time , after the end of the day and all kids gone home-I was coming down my stairs and saw through the glass patio doors a baby laying face down at the base of a chair, my heart skipped a beat and so did my foot almost falling down the steps. Yes it was this doll!! Just this afternoon I was changing the nappy of the only child I had in care today, picked her up and stepped on something hard. Looked down and there under my heal was a baby’s head. Far out Brussel sprout this baby doll found herself nearly crushed and me in a moments panic despite the fact that I was holding the only child in my home.

14.01.2022 Abel 4yrs old, practising his 3x tables. He counted groups in three’s separating them with colours . Then counted the colours and discovered 5 different colours, 5 different groups. Dad has already taught him the 3x tables and today he put it in action and showed that 5 groups of three is 15. I don’t remember when I learned tables but it wasn’t at 4!! Kids have great abilities to learn and remember especially when there is no pressure and just fun. They amaze me every day. well done dad!! Great knowing I can back up what is happening at home.

12.01.2022 Friends came to visit before their departure to Alice Springs. They gave me the thumbs up for all my equipment- big brother pushing his younger siblings in the cars, a box of bottle caps are always great for games and puzzles. I’m sorry they’re not coming back to join my daycare but it was great to have them- Alex Haley and William -Bon Voyage

09.01.2022 So wonderful to be outside in the sun on thick fresh grass- excursion to friends where their grass is not as muddy as ours- beautiful visit!

04.01.2022 Even the teenagers get involved when we do craft. Very simple stuff today but therapeutic! Dot painting on paper people reminding us we are all connected in some way
