22.01.2022 PLAYGROUP SUPPORT WORKERS Julalikari Council is seeking skilled, inspired applicants for the position of Playgroup Support Worker. This role is initially offered on a Part-time, 6-month contract, but it is envisaged as a long-term position for the right candidate. The Playgroup Support Worker will be required to support Aboriginal families who attend playgroup with babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. The primary role of the Playgroup Support Worker is to work with families to... help them have a safe and supportive playgroup experience. The Playgroup Support Worker will be responsible for preparing and supporting the children during play sessions to ensure safe, stimulating intentional play to meet the needs of the children. This role will also be responsible for: 1. Organising an appropriate learning environment and resources for play sessions. 2. Encouraging all children to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage 3. Cleaning the playgroup centre as per the cleaning schedule. This includes cleaning, sweeping, mopping and dusting. 4. Taking part in mobile playgroup. 22.01.2022 Julalikari Council has been funded by Territory Families to do activities this April school holidays. Julalikari and Anyinginyi Health have come together to cook home cooked healthy meals whilst videoing the steps to cook the Shepard Pie recipe in Warumungu Lanaguge: Annie Morrison- JCAC Member, videos instead of group cooking classes have been carried out due to Covid19 and Social distancing. JCAC has created a video on how to cook Shepard's Pie for aged school students to w...atch on social media and cook from home, the safest place to be right now. In this vital role, you will manage a team of 12-15 employees from Day Patrol, Youth Patrol and Night Patrol and administer the JCAC Community Patrol services in accordance with JCAC’s Vision and Mission Statement and all relevant Service Funding Agreements.... The Organisation JCAC is an Aboriginal Community Controlled service organisation governed by an elected Board of Directors (representing the Aboriginal Community of Tennant Creek). JCAC’s objectives directs the operations of the organisation to relieve the poverty, sickness, destitution, distress, suffering, misfortune and helplessness of Aboriginal people in Tennant Creek and the Barkly Region. JCAC has a deep commitment to Aboriginal participation in the design and delivery of its programs and services. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership to ensure all Community Patrol services are operating efficiently and within budget; Regularly manage and report on all issues, activities and negotiations within the community regarding Community Patrol service programs; Ensure all JCAC policies and procedures are implemented; Coordinate with other JCAC programs and external agencies in relation to program activities; Develop plans and priorities with JCAC for future activities and services; Perform various Human Resource-related tasks within the Community Patrol services including staff performance appraisals, recruitment, training and reviewing of Job Descriptions; and Ensure all Community Patrol services and staff are fully informed of JCAC’s Work Health and Safety obligations. 12.01.2022 Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation AGM changes to the 30th Nov 2020 AGM. Due to human error JCAC would like to apologise that the time on the notice has been incorrectly advertised. The current time on the notice (1pm) is incorrect and has been destributed over social media, notice boards around town and to current members in the AGM packs.
