21.01.2022 We have an official man cave set up now, and I am seriously considering starting to paint again.... minus the nine inch nails and the vodka. Ok, at least the vodka. Artist and mom are two such drastically opposed positions that I havent been able to even think about it until now. Although its got to be a lot harder to sell art here than in San Francisco wheres theres a bunch of investment bankers with empty walls. I really dont know if there is much of a market in Brisbane. Any thought?

16.01.2022 And one comes back to me - at least a photo - from a collectors office. I miss them all. This was special; the view out my apartment window of the Golden Gate Bridge..... right before I got evicted (which is hard to do in San Francisco... unless you use more vodka than paint, which I did back then. )Throw in some nine inch nails aaaannnnnddddd PARIS HERE I COME!

09.01.2022 Creating art can be very powerful. It can be a lot of things...inspiring, relieving, hard, fun, silly, messy, and it can be down right earth shattering; having your heart ripped out for the world to see. I was ready to start painting on Saturday. I had been give an assignment, meant to be cathartic. I had the vision so clearly in my head that it could have been paint by numbers. As I pictured it on the canvas, I decided that this was an imagine unworthy of the predator and therefore, not deserved of my time, or even the life of the canvas and paint to create it. I cant remember that little girl before a part of her was destroyed... so Ill just stick with the photo instead. My next canvas will deserve me, and Ill deserve it.

03.01.2022 This is incoming. Thats what my studio looks like when I paint... so Im not sure how well co-habitating in the man cave would go. I might have to switch to acrylics. Although clayton still has clothes from San Francisco 17 years ago when he would come over while I was painting... so at least we have the wardrobe!

01.01.2022 I just realized that my account was hacked! So sorry for the annoying posts - although if it werent for the annoying posts there wouldnt be anything... Im not actively painting anymore. Finger painting with oil paint and raising a three year old dont mix, but I appreciate all of you who were a part of this world with me. XO Jules
