25.01.2022 Oh my! How delicious is this family? A D O R A B L E It was hot. It was sweaty. There were lots of insects in the air. But we had fun & got some beautiful images that are destined to become family heirlooms. Thank you to the Murphy's for entrusting me with the task of capturing your gorgeousness, I hope you love these images as much as I do!

The plaited leather bracelet he is wearing has rings with the names of his five children. She gifted it to him. I love incorporating little details that hold special meaning into my images. That way it tells a secret little story, known only to a chosen few. And hopefully those details will be pointed out to the next generation, so they too can be a part of the secret story &, in turn, pass it on...

17.01.2022 This is our neighbourhood when we head to our home in Italy, isn’t it gorgeous? Come stay downstairs from us at Casa Rorrò - appartamento nel cuore di Palermo & enjoy strolling to La Cala & Giardini Garibaldi (the marina & park you can see in this amazing image). Lots of fabulous food options (fast or slow) along the way, so you can taste, as well as see, the heart of Palermo. And, if I’m there when you are, I’ll take you out for breakfast!

Photographer Tobias Baumgaertner spent three ...nights with the penguin colony in St Kilda, Melbourne, before he was able to capture this special moment. The photos were taken about a year ago, but were only recently shared on Instagram. "These two fairy penguins poised upon a rock overlooking the Melbourne skyline were standing there for hours, flipper in flipper, watching the sparkling lights of the skyline and ocean," wrote Tobias. "A volunteer approached me and told me that the white one was an elderly lady who had lost her partner and apparently so did the younger male to the left. 14.01.2022 I am not allowed to post a video here under threat of litigation but I am allowed to post ONE photo, & one photo only. My son overcame his performance anxiety & performed the Last Post with his French Horn in honour of his great grandfather who served at Gallipoli. We then observed a minute silence before he played Reveille. Neighbours further up the street (beautiful to see so many torches & flickering candles in the darkness, so we knew we were not alone) then recited The... Ode (the fourth stanza of Laurence Binyon's 'For the Fallen'). A few moments of reflection & then the street gave Carlo a round of applause & called out their thanks. We don't know many of our neighbours so it was very moving to feel such unity & sense of community. A glorious summer twilight sail captured on analogue film & printed by me in the Edith Cowan University (ECU) darkroom. But what I really want to know is what on earth was I holding on to??? PS Would you believe this was an outdoor shoot? It’s amazing the effect a gorgeous, organic background + some dreamy bokeh has, it almost looks like a studio shot. Which do you prefer? It was held in the gorgeous garden side bar at The Leederville hotel & I must say the catering & cocktails looked delish! The guests also got to take home a fabulous succulent + they get to download their favourite images of the evening from a password protected online gallery - now that's a 'goodie bag' worth having!
