21.01.2022 Recently I presented Senior Sergeant Hancock with a new Australian Flag for the Indooroopilly Police Station. Thank you to the team at Indooroopilly for the work they do to protect our community.

19.01.2022 **UPDATE** Masks will no longer be mandatory indoors except at airports, but Queenslanders will be encouraged to carry one and wear it on public transport or where social distancing is not possible. Standing will be allowed at pubs and clubs while eating and drinking.... Visitors at private residences will increase to 100. Visitors will be permitted at aged care and disability care homes, hospitals and correctional facilities. Dancing at nightclubs and indoor venues will be permitted. Weddings and funerals will be allowed to host 200 guests. Outdoors there will be no restrictions on gatherings. Ticketed venues and open-air stadiums will be able to return to 100 per cent capacity.

14.01.2022 Today the PM announced Australia’s remaining troops will leave Afghanistan by September. We take this day to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, as part of that conflict. In particular, I pay tribute to Private Tim Aplin, an Australian Commando killed when the helicopter he was in crashed in Afghanistan's Kandahar province in 2010. ... Tim grew up in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. He attended the Kenmore Primary School, Indooroopilly High School, and Brisbane Boys College. His parents, Margaret and Richard Gunnell, who live in the electorate, still feel his loss deeply. Together, with them and the Sherwood-Indooroopilly RSL Sub-Branch, we ensured a memorial was erected to his service and sacrifice at Keating Park in Indooroopilly. The inscription on the memorial reads: A brave and courageous soldier A father, a son, a true friend A man for all seasons Thank you to Tim and all the Australian soldiers who served in the conflict on behalf of our nation.

13.01.2022 Ted and Nola the roundabout couple have been an incredible part of our community for decades. Their friendly waves as we drive home on our daily commute or as we walk on by. 10.01.2022 The Morrison Government's Economic Recovery Plan is well underway. Labour force figures released today by the ABS show that the Australian labour market continued to recover strongly in March 2021, with employment increasing by 70,700 over the month, exceeding all market expectations.

10.01.2022 Definitely the most interesting way anyone has arrived to one of my mobile offices. This is an electric unicycle, it has a range of 100kms and charges in about 5 hrs. I'm told it is pretty easy to learn how to ride too!

05.01.2022 Today we launched the Parliamentary Friends of Combatting Child Exploitation in Australia and the ACCCE. Thank you to Assistant Commissioner Northern Command Lesa Gale and Detective Sergeant Kate Laidler, AFP Victim Identification on providing an update on the recent operation Arkstone which removed 46 children from harm and laid 828 charges.... The work that each and every officer working in this taskforce do is so vital and comes at a huger personal sacrifice. Our thanks and ongoing support goes to all of you. Thank you to my co-chair Josh Burns, this is an issue where all members regardless of party can be united.

02.01.2022 The Run Army this morning raised more than $40,000 to support Legacy Australia families undertaking a 5 & 10km run around Gallipoli Barracks. My running duties today were done by my cousin, Jack Cawcutt, an active reservist, pictured with me and Dan Keighran VC before the race. Well done everyone.
