22.01.2022 Sharing a few of my many faves from a recent shoot down at the beach at sunset, and what a session it was. Not only was the beach empty during school holidays on a beautiful, balmy evening (which always amazes me) but we did have some visitors putting on a show for us in the waves close to shore. Dolphins! It was incredible to watch and I even managed to capture one in the waves - have a look to see if you can find it. It’s a bit like Where’s Wally. I’ll pop it in my stories to help. I’m now taking bookings for Easter hols so give me a shout if you’re interested in a session. Dolphins or no dolphins, I promise it’s worth it.

20.01.2022 We finally made it to this spot for sunset. Two clearly enjoyed the moment way more than the third (luckily you can’t hear Bella’s moaning). I do love watching how tactile the boys are with each other, it’s never a prompt from me.

17.01.2022 Last night I had a first and have felt almost hungover today. I stayed up until midnight (VERY late for me these days now that I don’t have parties or bars to go to). I clicked refresh several times over on the national parks campsite booking page in order to hopefully secure a camp site in the Cape Range National Park for August. So I heard, since you can only book 180 days in advance, people are literally on their computers at midnight trying to secure a space so if you do...n’t join them, you’ll miss out. I only had 2 options left, 1 disappeared before my eyes but I managed to grab the other (2 tabs open people, how clever am I?). I don’t think my heart has raced so much in a long time. What is happening to me. All that over a camp spot. Then I couldn’t sleep for hours over the hype of securing that slot over someone else. Plus it does look amazeballs, i can understand why half of WA wants to go there in Winter. I’ll pop it on my stories. Now let’s hope WA doesn’t go into lockdown then. See more

16.01.2022 Wishing you all a Happy Easter wherever you are in the world. #freelensinglife #freelensed #thefreelensedproject

15.01.2022 Stalking with stalky legs in the rock pools down at Contos . It’s scary how much these little ones grow in a year...it’s not until they put on last years summer clothes when you realise.

09.01.2022 Summarises these couple of weeks...a bit of a blur. I’ll be back soon sharing some photos from recent shoots but in the meantime I’m going to carry on chasing that tail of mine.

08.01.2022 Last week’s spectacle across the fields of @voyagerestate from our fence line at @mrholidaycottages . The double rainbow and strip of rich light didn’t budge for sometime.

07.01.2022 Beach hang outs, something I never tire of.

05.01.2022 Lydia & Jo / Belle & Isla. Elopement day at the place we’re very proud to call our home and family business, Margaret River Holiday Cottages @mrholidaycottages . Apart from the cottage gardens (and our garden), our friendly animals roam freely around our grounds allowing guests to have cuddles as and when they like. Belle, the miniature Irish donkey on the left, is due to have a baby anytime soon, perhaps she’ll give us an Easter surprise.

04.01.2022 Another gallery off tonight! Beautiful Lydia & Jo eloped during their stay with us at @mrholidaycottages and we had fun a couple of days later with their outfits back on and my camera in hand around our grounds. One place I’ve desperately been wanting to photograph more of is our 1940s dairy...It’s not for the high maintenance and even I usually head in there with caution but these ladies were up for it. I did send my husband in to clear out the animal poo (and whatever else) and lay some fresh hay to ‘freshen’ it up a bit in advance....thanks Drew. So here’s a few of my faves. I hope this building stays up for many more years.

04.01.2022 After a week of feeling under the weather, we’ve woken up feeling energised and ready to tackle some gardening today. Off to the farmers market we go to pick up some veggie seedlings as our new veg boxes are all ready for planting. The kids get 1 to share so let’s see what they choose to grow in there. I’m determined to actually produce some edibles this winter.

03.01.2022 Photoshoots for my Singapore / expat friends have been gone a year now but I’m finding my groove with our WA guests and loving sessions from our back gate and around our property.

01.01.2022 Yay, the holidays have begun! I can wake up tomorrow and make pancakes rather than 3 different varieties of lunchboxes. It’s a big day for guests checking in with us in the afternoon - 7 of the 9 cottages staying over Easter break have all stayed with us within the past year including this fab family of 6 who I also photographed last October hols. It’s going to be a fun one, I can feel it. Safe travels out on those roads, it’s going to be busy.
