25.01.2022 If you could recreate a scene from any movie, what would it be? I recently shot both Breakfast and Tiffany's and Pretty Woman in the studio....so much fun!

25.01.2022 "Thanks Julie, Loving your classes." - Lorraine "Thank you Julie yesterday for the wonderful tutorial on Layers I thoroughly enjoyed it" - Mary Ann These are just two of the lovely comments I received via email from some of the attendees from the recent Zoom workshops. They are certainly challenging, but loads of fun in these current trying circumstances.

24.01.2022 Is it just me????????????

24.01.2022 There is still time to book your spot for the Intermediate level Mastering Layers in Photoshop class for Saturday 19th 2-5pm AEST

23.01.2022 A little bit punk and a little bit princess, this fabulous yet fun outfit was created for the studio wardrobe, one pair of vintage goggles actually belonged to my Dad from when he used to race dune buggies, so cool. Model - Nicola Paige, HMUA by Teaighan Felton from TeighanLeeHair and Makeup. Want your little princess to be swept up in a total glam makeover and fabulous studio shoot, send me a DM for more information.

22.01.2022 The days and nights are getting hot, Summer in Australia! Heat, storms, bushfires and flies! But sitting on the back deck on a balmy evening sipping iced raspberry tea with a twist of lemon and a mint sprig. Hits the spot! I don't even pretend I made the tea, it is Lipton's Raspberry Iced Tea, I poured over ice with a twist of lemon and a sprig of mint, even a touch of honey if you chose.... https://stillliferoomtobreathe.wordpress.com//regular-ran/

22.01.2022 What are you listening to at the moment? YouTube, Spotify, other? Who is inspiring you? Who gets your feet taping?I come across a young lady by the name Violet Orlandi a week or so ago, this girl does a lot of covers and does an amazing job too. I am still going through her YouTube, but have also been listening to some other stuff on Spotify too... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo3AxjxePfj6DHn03aiIhww

21.01.2022 A little moody magic with a little help from Luminar AI

21.01.2022 Looking for some indoor lockdown fun? grab a spoon, a strawberry, some sugar and a flash...I used a 70mm lens, F/5.6, 1/125 seconds used a clamp to hold the spoon and put the camera on a tripod. Pour sugar over strawberry and catch the action (I put a bucket underneath the catch the sugar and not make a mess)

17.01.2022 Now that it's spring, let's have a little look at working with Spring colours...in particular let's look at the Colour Green. ... Green, the colour of life, renewal, nature, and energy and is associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility, and environment. Green is also traditionally associated with money, finances, banking, ambition, greed and jealousy. But for now, let's look at the positive side. 14.01.2022 Five things you may not know about me... 1. I would prefer to watch a Disney movie than a horror (Do not like blood and guts movies much) 2. Even though I don't go swimming often, I adore the beach, especially a secluded clifftop overlooking a wild ocean 3. I love lighthouses and have been photographing then all up and down Victoria's coastline. 4. I used to own and ride horses... 5. I used to work on the TV Industry (behind the scenes) See more

11.01.2022 The Green Fairy with Andrea Gardiner, last theme from last week's studio shoot. I created the background floral screens, the staff, the skirt and added a little PS magic.

11.01.2022 A little while ago, while doing some gardening, my hubby found an abandoned birds nest buried deep in a tree, full of mud and twigs and such, I think it has been long forgotten. Instead of throwing it out, I keep it and have been cleaning out some of the much and drying it on the back veranda. I had some horrible bright orange and yellow plastic eggs I picked up after Easter last year which I knew would come in handy one day. So I painted three of them duck egg blue and speck...led them with white and dark blue paint...I quite like how they turned out. My nest is now safely kept in an old shoebox in tissue paper. Nothing quite says Spring like a birds nest, right? We have a family of honeyeaters that have been living in our front yard and every year they make a new nest and a new hatch...I wonder have many they will have this year, we so seldom see the babies, only the juveniles. 09.01.2022 Did you know... The first photograph taken in Australia was in 1841 of Bridge Street in Sydney? Did you also know, Commercial photography began on 12 December 1842 when photographic portraits, at a cost of one guinea each, were made, using the daguerreotype process, on the roof of The Royal Hotel, Sydney? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photography_in_Australia

04.01.2022 This week for #RegularRandom, let's go a little dark & moody (it's been awhile), pick one (or two) items and keep it real simple, let's bring out the detail, what's the one thing that makes this item special? I picked a small glass vase and single dried hydrangea stem I adore this one as it still has so much colour. [ 163 more words ] https://stillliferoomtobreathe.wordpress.com//regular-ran/

01.01.2022 SOOOOOOOOO exciting, I've been quiet too long, so now I can announce that the beautiful Jess is having a bub! Sadly we had to do the announcement shot via Messenger as opposed to in-person, still loved doing this shoot. This may be the closest I get to being a Grand-ma lol. So join me in congratulating Jess and her wonderful little family on the new addition...due in March 2021!
