23.01.2022 A Favourite Painting, Island Coastal Colours, acrylic on canvas - Pennington Bay Kangaroo Island. Day 1 of: #21daysinmyartworld As I squatted down to take photos gazing through the dune plants & out to sea, I had a strong sense it would make a special painting. The light & colours were amazing PLUS I entered it in my 1st ever exhibition & it sold on opening night!

20.01.2022 Day 4 #21daysinmyartworld - Art Book. - Margaret Olley, Life's Journey. A much loved Australian artist famed for her impressionistic paintings and still lives. However this book is full of Margaret's pen and ink and watercolour sketches made during her travels in the 1950s and 60s. The work is stunning and the book reminds me of the importance of drawing and regular practice.
