23.01.2022 Gaslighting is lies with a purpose to confuse and control. But lies don’t end relationships, the truth does.

22.01.2022 There are so many ways to be brave in this world. Sometimes bravery involves laying down your life for something bigger than yourself, or for someone else. Sometimes it involves giving up everything you have ever known, or everyone you have ever loved, for the sake of something greater. But sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it is nothing more than gritting your teeth through pain, and the work of every day, the slow walk toward a better life. ... Veronica Roth by Julie Dow by Julie Dow

22.01.2022 Today’s energy may be volatile as the sun in Scorpio squares the moon in Leo. Remain calm. Meditate. Take a nap. But most of all, remember: Anything anyone says today is a reflection on how they really feel about themselves, and has nothing to do with you. The Quietest Revolution ...

20.01.2022 When you learn to live from your heart NOT your head, the right path is no longer the hard path. It just feels right.

14.01.2022 Our culture values niceness over truth in many cases. People who address issues, or bring something up to someone that could be perceived as hurtful, are looked upon as the problem. If you point out what someone else has done wrong, instead of the person considering the feedback and having an objective conversation, the threat is there that they will go off and tell someone else about what a mean person you really are. One of my goals for this year is to work on saying what I mean and meaning what I say.

13.01.2022 Save a black cat Black cats find it harder to be adopted from shelters than other cats, more than likely due to a long bogus association with bad luck. If you have bad luck don’t blame a cat, remember you create your own reality

12.01.2022 Misdirection or attention management is the deceptive art of directing audiences attention towards one thing so it does not notice another. While people focus on an illusion another agenda goes unnoticed. Much like a magic show their unknowing participation is critical for the magician to pull off his deception. When you can get an audience wanting to see some cool tricks, they are predisposed and not able to discern reality from illusion. When executed properly, all magic deceives observers, tricking them into believing what they see.

11.01.2022 Doctors won’t make you healthy. Nutritionists won’t make you slim. Teachers won’t make you smart. Gurus won’t make you calm. Mentors won’t make you rich. Trainers won’t make you fit. Ultimately, you have to take responsibility. Save yourself.

11.01.2022 ...compulsive eating is basically a refusal to be fully alive. No matter what we weigh, those of us who are compulsive eaters have anorexia of the soul. We refuse to take in what sustains us. We live lives of deprivation. And when we can't stand it any longer, we binge. The way we are able to accomplish all of this is by the simple act of bolting -- of leaving ourselves -- hundreds of times a day. Almost everyone feels empty at some point in their lives, but not many can pinpoint exactly why they feel this way. Most blame a lost lover, a lack of purpose, boredom, not enough friends, or other reasons, but this only skirts around the true reason for emptiness.

04.01.2022 A star falls from the sky and into your hands. Then it seeps through your veins and swims inside your blood and becomes every part of you. And then you have to put it back into the sky. And it's the most painful thing you'll ever have to do and that you've ever done. But what's yours is yours. Whether it’s up in the sky or here in your hands. And one day, it'll fall from the sky and hit you in the head real hard and that time, you won't have to put it back in the sky again. C. JoyBell C.
