To those affected by bushfire evacuation in COS hills and surrounds while event's are unfolding .. you can bring pets this evening Monday 01/02/21 to Julie's Boarding Kennels an Cattery 12 Midas Road Malaga for safe keeping! Please wear a mask and where possible one person per admission due to current Covid restrictions. If you need assistance with your pets our attendants will assist. Stay in your vehicle.... To All in our hills of COS and surrounds we wish everyone to be safe.

19.01.2022 UPDATE CRISIS CARE SATURDAY 6th FEB LET’S TAKE A MINUTE TO SAY THANK YOU Such kindness and community spirit is heartwarming. We have had some very generous donations of dog biscuits, pet meat and varmints veggies! While you might say it’s not much to us these donations are priceless!! Especially the array of fresh veggies for our piggies and wabbits! In terms of time shopping is now off the agenda for today and all available time will be spent with the pets instead of ...queuing at checkout! 14.01.2022 UPDATE THURSDAY 4th FEB CRISIS CARE AT JULIES KENNELS AND CATTERY MALAGA What a tumultuous couple of days! Today some relived owners have been collected their pets as they are able to return safely home. Others must remain in care for a few more days. We truly appreciate everyone’s patience today waiting for return calls and updates on how your fur families have been traveling. Taking in well over 100 animals in one day has proven a challenge to learn their names! But we ha...ve already formed some fantastic bonds with these lovely pets and appreciate you all entrusting them to our care. As of Wednesday lunchtime over110 beloved pets from 51 families had been taken into care: 55 Dogs 37 Cats 7 Rabbits 6 Guinea Pigs 4 ferrets and 1 Budgie Even more have arrived today and we are expecting additional crisis care admissions as the afternoon progresses. At this point I would like to say a huge thank you to our team: Lexy (Kennel Manager All Nighter and All-Round Legend) Karen (Supervisor/ Senior Handler and Attendant) Krystyne (Vet Nurse and Senior Attendant) Jenny (Senior Supervisor and Cattery Manager) Bernadette (Senior Attendant and Handler) Courtney (Kennels and Cattery Attendant) Shannon (Senior Attendant - Our newest team member - more introductions for Shannon SOON) Brittany (Reception/Booking Administration PLUS Cattery AND Kennels Assistant Attendant GO BRITS!) Jon (Customer Liaison Officer Transport Coordinator) Jodie (Special Case Assistance/Intensive Care/Small Animal and Birds) Jamie (Volunteer Cattery Assistant) And Me Julie - exhausted but VERY proud of what we as a team have been able to offer a community who are hurting. It humbles me to hear the gratitude from people who have been in such trying circumstances. This is the LEAST we can do no words needed. But on behalf of Management of JBKC A Massive THANK YOU is well due to our team who have pulled extra shifts and worked their RDO’s to get this happening for everyone and provide the very best of care for pets in trying and stressful circumstances. City of Swan Customer Advocate also require a special thanks for arranging transportation of pets as well. We even received a bunny at 2 am due to their fantastic efforts. To A1 Pet Meats for their generous donation of Roo Meat and Roo Ear Treats for all the pets in our care that have been affected by the bush fire. your support through this crisis has been very much appreciated! General Reminder: Julie's Boarding Kennels and Cattery Malaga are providing free accommodation for pets of owners displaced by evacuation due to fires. Over 100 pets of all shapes and sizes have been admitted into boarding already. A HUGE than...k you to our team for volunteering their RDO's to come in and assist with the care of all the pets here at our facility. Most owners are still in limbo but a couple of lucky pets have gone home already. Extended care will be available - we hope to be able to touch base with everyone in due course to discuss individual situations. THANK YOU A1 PET FOODS!! we will be cooking up a storm this afternoon!
