25.01.2022 We received this review today from another happy customer. Hello Denise and Glen, We are not on Facebook or any other social media but are happy to provide you with the follow review -... I recently inherited some floor rugs. They were dirty, stained, dusty and smelly. Some had been stored for years in a shed. I contacted Jumbuck Cleaning by email. Glen rang within a day and arranged to inspect the rugs and give me a quote. He collected the rugs from our home and brought them back on completion. They were soft, clean, looked much brighter and the smell had gone. We are now making good use of them around our home and will be doing so for years to come. We will use Jumbuck again in the future. This is not just steam cleaning - it is real cleaning. Very impressive. Thank you to Glen, Denise and the team at Jumbuck. Levina and Geoff. Chirnside Park.

23.01.2022 Fabric Protection DID YOU KNOW that one of the best ‘feel good’ experiences you can enjoy is having brand new or freshly-cleaned carpet or furniture? And one of the most frustrating experiences you won’t enjoy is when, within just a few days, something like red wine, coffee or tea is spilled on that freshly-cleaned carpet or furniture.... This is not good! So you feverishly apply all kinds of household cleaning products and scrub in desperation. That spot does look a little better but it is still there. You have an important appointment so you give up. When coming home a few hours later it has grown! (This is another mystery and you might want to ask your carpet cleaning pro why this happens.) All of this drama could have been avoided if you had asked for fabric protection when you had your carpet or furniture cleaned. You know, like Scotchgard or Teflon or some of the other products available to consumers. Yes, fabric protection does cost a little bit more but it’s worth it! How does it work? Fabric protection is quite a mystery to many, but basically what it does is act as a kind of invisible shield that repels most substances that are spilled. You might compare this to waxing a car. You are providing protection to your paint job by applying an invisible shield, and you know it is working because you can see water beading up on the surface. Carpet and furniture fabrics need the same type of protection. Besides the obvious immediate benefit of cleaning up fresh spills, you can rest assured that a protected carpet or piece of furniture is going to last longer because when something is clean, it performs better and increases the lifetime of the fabric. This doesn’t mean you can skip regular cleaning. Anything that is dirty will wear out prematurely. Fabric protection enhances a good cleaning. It’s an added step that you want for your carpet and furniture in your home. Just follow the link this short video for a full explanation on how protectors work. http://www.jumbuckcleaning.com.au/carpets/carpet-protection . So you want peace of mind? The next time you buy new furniture or rugs, or if have your carpet or furniture cleaned, ask for protection. You will like it and so will your carpet and furniture.

22.01.2022 Restoring Damaged Ceiling Tiles Most of our attention is on surfaces or items at eye level or lower, such as on tables, or the flooring in your home. But when your eyes go up, you might start to notice something frightful damaged ceiling tiles, and causing you to think Oh, no, it’s mold! It’s probably not. Most likely what you are seeing are damaged ceiling tiles from some type of water leak or moisture intrusion. ... Ceiling tiles are usually made from plants, minerals, gypsum, clay, other natural materials, so are very absorbent and show stains easily. Some are made from synthetic products and might not have as many stains from water leaks or moisture intrusion. Here are a few steps you can take to restore those damaged ceiling tiles. But remember that replacement might be a final option. Remove them Take pictures of your ceiling first, just to avoid the frustration of fitting them back, especially if some tiles are of different sizes. Vacuum your tiles, removing as much dirt and debris you can, which will be concentrated on the topside of them. Wash them You have to be careful now. Over wetting is an issue. In a typical spray bottle, use warm water and a few drops of dish detergent. Mist the tiles until they are damp and use white cloths to clean the surfaces. Use more detergent on heavier deposits of soil. Allow the tiles to dry. Bleach them Set the tiles out that still have stains. What you are going to do now is bleach away those stains. Don’t use chlorine bleach. Get some household hydrogen peroxide, easily found at a grocery store or pharmacy. Hydrogen peroxide is a safe bleach that will slowly remove stains. Mist the peroxide, using it straight (no dilution) over the stained areas of the tiles, and with a soft brush, work the solution into the tiles. The remaining stains often disappear in a few hours. If you see some progress, repeat the process. Paint them Besides replacement, painting your tiles is an option, but you may lose some acoustical ability, since some tiles are designed to absorb sound. It’s a decision you will have to make. And, of course, for any restoration work, such as cleaning of items that are damaged by water intrusion, call your favorite restoration company. After all, it pays to call a pro!

18.01.2022 CUSTOMER UPDATE: Like most other businesses we are trying to figure out what we can do and what we can't do during the Stage 4 lock down imposed on us from 11.59pm 5/8/2020. As we understand it, at the moment we can undertake emergency water damage restoration where your home or work place floods through a burst pipe or other reasons. We can also do onsite carpet cleaning for vacating rental properties, all the time practicing Covid safe precautions to ensure the safety of ou...r customers and our staff. Unfortunately we cannot supply many of our regular services such as general carpet and upholstery cleaning, hard floor cleaning and sealing, picking up and delivering rugs for cleaning/washing and fabric protection. In the mean time, our office and workshop is closed, however we have the phone (1800 787 184) diverted to my mobile phone, so if you have a water damage situation or need urgent stain removal advice, give me a call. I may be driving or on another call, so please leave a message. Moving forward to our return to business after lock down, It looks like we will be back for Spring cleaning, normally a busy period without everyone being in lock down. To make an appointment you can either call 1800 787 184, if I can't answer the phone leave a message, Denise or I will get back to you as soon as possible, or send us an email [email protected] Denise, Marty, Jesse, Cameron and myself would like to thank you for your support and understanding during this time. We are doing everything within our power to ensure the ongoing survival of our business, so we will need your support after the lock down period. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

18.01.2022 Spring is here. Time for Spring cleaning, book now to avoid the post lock down rush.

16.01.2022 It's not just the soil we need to rinse from your rug, we need to be sure we rinse all of the detergent from your rug too. Detergent residues attract soil and can leave the fibres feeling stiff and sometimes brittle.

14.01.2022 Just like most jobs, preparation is the key to a good job. After identification the dry particulate soils need to be removed prior to cleaning otherwise they can set like concrete in the foundation of your rug causing it to wear prematurely. This can be a long tedious job on a heavily soiled rug.

13.01.2022 Available from Jumbuck for your rugs, carpets, and upholstery. We can treat most materials from silk to leather.

12.01.2022 We had Yarra Ranges Life TV visit today. It was a pretty exciting experience.
