Ive listened to a number of them now but one of his more recent ones he talked about success and how its not defined only by finances but about fulfilment. 15.01.2022 Hi team! What a whirlwind 24hours its been since the PM announced last night closures of several non essential business in light of COVID19. After conversations this morning with our association and professional body, discussion around our setup in the clinic, it means unfortunately for us we have had to suspend services from our Nundah location. What does this mean? Until advised otherwise by our professional body, we are able to treat from our home location so it's busin...ess as usual for treatments. We have also launched our online platform to provide treatment virtually, provide our mobility classes and of course our training packages! Now more than ever it's so important to stay moving, drink plenty of water, get plenty of sunshine, eat all the good foods (and let's face it some cheeky ones) and support each other. Ive often wanted more than what I see in myself. Ive wanted my kids to like me the most. Ive wanted to be the best athlete in our gym. And, Ive wanted my friends to consider me the best friend theyve ever had. But, thats just not even possible. You cant be the best, in this matter of speaking, without living a life of imbalance. In a hugely magnified sense, being the best in the world means that most of the other areas of your life are being compromised. You cant be the best athlete in the world and be the best mother, too. You cant be the best mother in the world, and be the best friend, too. And, when it comes down to it, there is just no such thing as the best friend in the world...to every one. Striving for perfection, on any level, is dangerous because its (a) realistically unattainable, and (b) an ideal that likely sets you up for disappointment. Theodore Roosevelt nailed it: Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. This is more realistic. This is more attainable. And, this is what I have playing in the back of my head all day. When Im on hour two of trying to homeschool our two young kids, and theyre still not able to read a book without breaking down in tears or cant remember to use their lower case letters instead of capitals. Or, when my big plans of training all morning turn into a quick 12 min workout because I forgot about the kids morning class chats and Jonah just texted me his breakfast order. But, somehow Im still in my workout clothes at 8pm, not having had time to even shower yet...and, looking like Ive been training all day. Or, when the story Im telling myself is that Maya and Jonah like being at their Dads house more than ours...or, that Bode and Harley Love love Ben more than they love me. As impressive as it would sound, we just cant be everything to everybody all of the time. And, as much as we believe we know people that are, we dont. Those people may exist in our minds, but they dont exist in real life. Be the best version of YOU. Do

So, when you are thinking to yourself "I cant" in your next workout, your next business meeting, your next meal prep, your next whatever, change your internal dialogue! Instead of relabelling I cant with a straight "I can", acknowledge the challenge and make the decision to move through it anyway. Empower yourself in these little ways and remodel your perception. And if you slip, thats where we as coaches help you acknowledge and progress so you can thrive as a human being, not just in the gym or treatment room. Try it over the next week.
