20.01.2022 Twinkle, Twinkle We first introduce our babies to the concept of back floating in our Duckling class. During the activity Twinkle, Twinkle the babies are placed on their backs on the floating mat and the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is sung while the babies look up at mirrors, toys, or their parents performing the twinkle action. The outcome of this activity is for babies to achieve self-awareness in the water and is an introduction to independent buoyancy. It develops the babies confidence to float independently as they get older.

17.01.2022 It is so good to be back swimming again. Swimming keeps children fit and helps boost their immune system. The pool and the facilities are toasty and warm. Just bring your warm clothes to go home in.

16.01.2022 Even when it is cold outside, children are learning to swim at Jump! because it is a warm 33 degrees in the water and the heaters are on to keep them warm while they get dressed. Keep your children active over the winter months and have them confident swimmers by summer.

16.01.2022 How do you keep your little ones love for the water during this time without swimming lessons? In the bath, shower and paddle pool remember to keep conditioning them "name, ready, go..." then pour water over their face. Make it fun and demonstrate yourself with a big smile while water runs over your face. Happy Conditioning!

15.01.2022 Wishing you all the most magical Christmas day full of love & laughter

14.01.2022 Everyone loves a good pool game! Check out our favourite pool games to play with your kids this summer: https://bit.ly/summer-pool-games

14.01.2022 Dear Families, In light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak COVID-19, our team would like to reassure you that as a small, family run swim school, we are considered an extremely low risk environment. As a franchise our head office have an action team who are continually monitoring health dept advice and have various plans in place to ensure we all keep our customers safe and healthy. Due to the way we run our lessons the number of people in the facility at any given time is ...low, so we never have high numbers in or around the pool at any given time. We are doing everything we can to keep you and our instructors healthy, and will take all preventative measures to keep the pool area germ-free.Your compliance to the guidelines below will greatly contribute to the safety of your children, our staff, our pool and those around you at our centre. If you or your children are unwell with a fever, extreme fatigue, infection or any gastro, please keep them home until those symptoms subside. As always, if you comply with our policy in relation to notifications a make up lesson will be offered. - please limit the amount of non-swimming people who attend the pool for lessons to 1 adult where possible (if a second person must attend to help you, if they can stay in the play area till the end of the lesson it would be greatly appreciated). We understand your child may have siblings and you have no other option but to bring them along, this is fine, but we are trying to limit the impact on the number of people within our facility at any given time. Hand washing is the key to prevent the spread of germs. Please use soap, hand wipes or sanitiser prior to touching surfaces in the centre, we have upped our cleaning of them. Due to our chlorine levels meeting health regulation guidelines the virus will not survive in the water. Practice measures that reduce the spread of germs by coughing or sneezing into your arm or tissue rather than your hand. Encourage your children to do the same. Please bin your tissues. Rest assured our pool water is closely monitored, regularly tested and balanced.swimming lessons have been known to keep kids healthier through winter and this has not changed with the Coronavirus outbreak, and we will continue to ensure everyones health is at the forefront. After all, teaching a lifelong healthy lifestyle skill and keeping kids safe is what we are all about. Happy Swimming See more

13.01.2022 Consistency is key when it comes to learning to swim. At JUMP! our lessons run all year round, to ensure your little ones retain and develop their skills faster. Just keep swimming!

12.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We hope you are all well and staying safe. Just a quick update to let you all know, unfortunately we cannot open until stage 3 in Western Australia. 11.01.2022 Putting your little one into consistent swimming lessons as early as possible is one of the best things you can do for their wellbeing. Mum Ashleigh from JUMP Swim Lara has seen that firsthand! https://www.kidspot.com.au//fb7ebfc13349516f00b23b69b4097c

11.01.2022 Big Arms Children start learning how to do big arms, the first step towards learning the freestyle stroke, in our Octopus class. Starting by using a kickboard as an aid, children in the Octopus class will work on developing competent big arms and are encouraged to take a breath every three strokes.... Once they have mastered the basics, the children will move on to practicing their big arms without a kickboard. When they are ready, the children will move up and further develop their freestyle technique in our Frog class.

07.01.2022 Today is World Wildlife Day! World Wildlife Days theme for 2020 is "Sustaining all life on Earth", which includes all wild animal and plant species as key components of the worlds biodiversity. Did you know we have one of the most biodiverse areas on Earth and the worlds largest coral reef system right here in Australia, the Great Barrier Reef? To celebrate and help our little JUMP!ers learn about the importance of marine life, were encouraging them all to draw their favourite sea creature for us to display in our swim school. Ask for a drawing sheet at reception when you come in for your next class!

07.01.2022 To our valued JUMP! Community, Due to government requirements surrounding COVID-19, our swim school is now closed until further notice. At this stage, no date has been provided as to when we will reopen, however when the government has made this decision, you will be the first to know. ... We will miss seeing the adorable, smiling faces of our little JUMP!ers. However, were getting to work to have water safety resources, so the importance of learning water safety skills is not lost at this time. Well also have some fitness options available for all members of the family during this period when activity related businesses like ours are restricted. We will communicate further information about this initiative soon. Please continue to keep an eye on your inbox for further ongoing information from us, and rest assured we will continue to update you, as any further government decisions are announced. 04.01.2022 In these uncertain times, theres one thing were certain of: we will uphold the Pinky Promise that we have made to our JUMP! community. Perhaps the most vital part of our Pinky Promise at this time is to keep our swim school clean, tidy and hygienic. Weve enhanced our strict hygiene standards even further to ensure were meeting the hygiene and social distancing guidelines thatve been set by the Australian Government. Our second Pinky Promise is to only teach a maximum o...f two lessons at a time. We run small classes in our private centre, with no more than six students per class, and in some classes as few as three. This means we have very low patronage at any one time. Finally, we promise to teach your child with love and care as if they were our own. Well continue to provide high quality swimming lessons to your little ones, ensuring a safe environment, for as long as the Government deems it safe to do so.
