25.01.2022 Comforters - does your baby have one? . Every baby is different when it comes to self soothing and I saw this with my own two. My son had a dummy as a baby. But at the age of two, he was so happy to part ways with it and traded it in for a few Hot Wheel cars. My daughter, on the other hand, refused a dummy but later took to a comforter we call 'Bub'. ... . I love watching the relationship she has with Bub. It is her safe place when things get a little overwhelming. She makes the sweetest little mouth movements when sucking on it. Currently two years old, there is no sign of her wanting to part ways with Bub. . She knows it cannot leave the house (more for my fear of losing it than anything else as we do not have a replacement) and we try leave Bub in her cot most days. But there are days where Bub is required to taste tomato sauce or assist in wiping chalk off the chalkboard. Or where mum, dad, brother and dogs have to kiss Bub on both cheeks leaving it a little worse for wear. . In hindsight, maybe buying two identical comforters would have been a good idea

15.01.2022 Baby Wearing For The Win . Like many mums, I am so pro baby wearing - it's a real life saver. It gave me the freedom to build a life for our family in a new country while still attending to the needs of my baby.... . We moved to Australia when my daughter was 12 weeks old and one of the major benefits of our carrier was that I could be outdoors exploring our new surroundings all day and not have to worry about rushing home for nap times. . My daughter got to the point where she knew when the carrier comes out it was time to sleep. And then of course being hands free meant I could attend to my and my family's needs yet still have her close to me.
