24.01.2022 For those who are interested in the South Australian railway prototype, a marvelous little book has now been released from Railmac Publications. STATIONS REMEMBERED: SAR- BOWMANS BALAKLAVA AND OWEN details the stations on that route, with station yard diagrams and excellent pictures to complement. A worthy read and keenly priced at $8.50. Available now!

24.01.2022 Christmas is creeping closer once again, so here are a few arrivals to tempt you. New from Railmac Publications is the eagerly awaited follow up to the initial book about the 2000 class Railcars, along with a surprise book regarding Rails around Peterborough. Both are a great read and a bargain at $8.50 each. We have plenty of other Railmac publications including vol 1 of the 2000 class book. A distinctive building for any Australian layout- perhaps even essential- is the Win...dmill. We are delighted to have two types of ready made HO scale windmills now available for purchase. There is a 6m and 8m high variant and both come with rainwater tank. For those who like gluing things together properly you will be pleased to know we have been able to once again get Zap-A-Gap glues! They are available in thin, medium and thick variants, and we also have the excellent 'Rail Zip 2' track cleaning fluid. Don't forget, for the modeller who you can't decide what to get there is the option of a Junction Models gift voucher....

21.01.2022 We have been quiet for a while though things have been moving briskly. We have had lots of new English outline locos arriving though apologies to HO scale Aussie modellers as we are still waiting keenly for the SDS NR classes to be released! One of the most interesting new arrivals has to be the Hornby TTS Sound decoders now available on their own. This means if you have a DCC ready loco you wish to add sound to you simply add the complete sound decoder supplied and away yo...u go! The TTS system is one of the most affordable- for under $100 you can get surprisingly good sound. Currently we have stocks of both steam and diesel sound decoders- for steam, the class A1/A3, and for diesel the Class 31.

18.01.2022 Believe it or not, 2020 is just around the corner! Why not plan ahead and get one of our full colour calendars. Featuring never before released photos of railway scenes from all over South Australia in the 1960s and 70s.There are both steam railtours and diesel operations in the mix so there is something for everyone. Limited to 200 total calendars, these are only available from us and cost just $18. Funds raised will support our future release of the Red Hen Railcar book.... We have already sold a quarter of the stock so please get in quick before its too late!

18.01.2022 We will be attending the Milang Model Railway Exhibition this weekend- it looks like its going to be very pleasant weather wise to boot! Drop by and see our selection of goodies- Red Hen kits, new Hornby stock (including the Harry Potter train set) and plenty of other tempting things for the enthusiast.

17.01.2022 For the modern scene Australian modellers, we have a restock of the excellent Railmotor Models SCT livered PBHY and PBGY vans in a variety of numbers and versions. Also we still some of the V-Line and GWA Liveried 'C' Class locos from Auspower (SDS)- excellent value at $198 each! Don't forget to visit us after this Sundays' Toy and Model Swapmeet at Windsor Gardens Avenues College, from 10am till 1pm.

16.01.2022 A last minute series of arrivals form a great last minute present for the English outline modeller in both N and HO scale. Junction Models continues to be the sole stockist of DJ Models products in Australia and we are proud to announce two brand new arrivals- the Class 71 locomotive in OO scale and the 'Mermaid' Ballast wagons in N scale. Both models are super detailed and would be a wonderfully distinctive inclusion on your layout.... We are also delighted to announce that a restock has arrived on the popular 'Austerity' tank engines, along with a price drop- each now retails for just $135!

12.01.2022 Something of interest to South Australian enthusiasts or modellers to start today. This interesting poster is available to us to print in high quality A2 sized prints. It is of special interest as the route described could only have been so between January 1976 and early 1978. Note that the Christie Downs Line is open but not yet to Noarlunga (opened April 1978) and the Semaphore branch is still in operation (closed October 1978). It is anticipated the A2 prints (gloss colour) will cost $20 each- if we get 10 orders we will print these in time to pick up at the Modelling the Railways of South Australia Convention.

10.01.2022 It seems to be the day of stock arrivals... the new Catchpoint Magazine (July 17) is available, along with a big suprise thanks to the boss having a clean out- a rare SAR Model Co F class tank engine complete kit is available. New from Bob Burton for the dedicated Narrow Gauge modeller is the RRN Refrigerator Van. The prototype was built for the Port Lincoln Division on the chassis of a flat wagon. The kit builds up very nicely into a distinctive vehicle. The modeller must supply bogies and couplers. You could make it run on 12mm, 10.5mm or 9mm narrow gauge with the right bogies underneath.

10.01.2022 Happy news- we are now a stockist of SDS Models products. Specifically picking out models of interest to South Australians, we have stocks of the SO/SOC Ore hoppers in three different liveries, FQX container wagons, 40' Containers, TW Tank Wagons and more. We will be getting the NR Class locos (powered and unpowered) as soon as they become available.

08.01.2022 All prepped for the Modelling the Railways of South Australia Convention tomorrow! We are delighted to announce that our in house book on the 900 class locomotives will be available as well as a brand new OO scale industrial diesel exclusive in Australia to us! Something that will guarantee to excite the SA modellers, this genuine 'W' board (very heavy) a steal at $100.Look out for Bob Burton kits, Haskells HO and On30 models and Red Hen kits just some of the highlights.

06.01.2022 A few more additions to whet your appetite. The star is this terrific ALF class loco in G&W livery, very nicely painted and modified. A nice addition for any modern image modeller at $350. Attention American scene HO modellers: we have 9 pairs of articulated car carriers, yellow in various roads including UP, TTX and Norfolk Southern. An absolute steal at just $60 each!... Lastly a modified Lima 422 body sitting on top of a Broadway DCC chassis, very nicely painted for $125.
