23.01.2022 K.I.N.D.N.E.S.S. I’ve been using #kindness and #bekind quite a lot these past 10 months. It’s something we all need to do. How often are we quick to judge someone without first walking a single step in their shoes. That same person who has just said goodbye to their life partner; the person who has just received news their illness is terminal; or the person who has just lost their dear old dog.... Kindness doesn’t have to cost a cent. And importantly, kindness shouldn’t be given with the expectation of something in return. We’re so incredibly grateful for the #holidayherethisyear campaign and for our wonderful guests choosing to use their #travelvouchers here in Maryborough. We’re loving seeing our car park full; guests enjoying the pool & BBQ area; and hearing stories of daily adventures and dining experiences. ... Thank you! Feeling grateful & looking forward to what lies ahead in 2021.

15.01.2022 Gravel Riding Heaven A short 300m ride on bitumen from the motel car park and you’re in a magnificent box iron bark forest. Pick your distance from a short roll through the bush, to circuits up to 90km which can take you to Avoca or Dunolly (with very little bitumen). ... Ride simply to take in the fresh air & big skies, or maybe stop and see the many Indigenous sites and gold mining relics along the way. If you’re a mad keen #gravelgrinder, or someone who likes to get off the roads and into the bush, #maryboroughandsurrounds can offer rides to suit all abilities. Our resident owner, Ross, is a mad keen roadie come gravel devotee and is happy to discuss courses and offer Strava maps (if needed) to our motel guests.

14.01.2022 What a cracker of a day to grab some fresh air and clear the head. The slightly cooler weather with glimpses of blue sky and sunshine made for a great afternoon ride for our resident gravel enthusiast. Why not plan a trip to @visitmaryboroughandsurrounds where brilliant riding is right on our doorstep - no driving to get to the starting point, and no jostling crowds.
