23.01.2022 Hello, We understand the challenges that everyone is facing at the moment, we are monitoring the Coranavirus outbreak day by day and following the Government instructions carefully, this advice will help us keep you our guests safe during your well deserved break. At this point in time there is no restriction on regular domestic travel, so it is the perfect time to head for the outback and get away from it all !! The ban on non essential gatherings does not apply to caravan p...arks, there is plenty of space to observe social distancing. We have plenty of hand soap ,sanitiser, hot water and toilet paper to follow the recommended hygiene recommendations. We are sanitising our common areas including Reception, Amenities, Camp Kitchen and also our Cabins We look forward to having you stay with us again this year until then safe travels and stay well !! 19.01.2022 Good morning to everyone, we would like to advise you that due to the continual spread of the Coronavirus we have been advised by the Queensland Government to close the Jundah Galaxy Opal Tourist Park today to all visitors. We apologize for this situation, but in the interest of the health and safety of all our visitors and the people of our community of the Barcoo Shire, we agree this is a wise move Please take care and stay well !

13.01.2022 We had the pleasure of the Shit Box Rally staying overnight at Jundah on the 23rd of October, there where 270 cars, a great night was had by everyone. The Royal Flying doctors ladies in conjunction with some of the other local organizations catered for them with a 2 course dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch, a great effort considering they provided meals for 550 people !! well done guys.

12.01.2022 We also have a nice disability cabin open as well

11.01.2022 The camp kitchen is now fully enclosed and protected from the chilly Winter winds, every one can enjoy it without being frozen by the cold winds !!

11.01.2022 We here at Jundah Galaxy Opal Tourist Park were trying to keep the good old Aussie tradition of "having a go mate" and welcome back our Facebook friends back to help support the towns and Shire during these trying times However with the ongoing rapid spread of the Coronavirus and closing of state borders we have received advice that it would be in the best interest of everyone to close down the operation of the Tourist Park to essential accommo...dation only for the safety of you, our visitors and our residents of the Barcoo Shire. We are sorry for the inconvenience, we look forward to seeing you back to visit us after the Coronavirus has been contained and it is safe to travel again We thank you for your comments on our earlier post and hope that other tourism operations and caravan parks in adjoining Shire will follow our example and act responsibly Thankyou See more

11.01.2022 We retrieved the old Southern Cross piston pump that was buried in the mud in the river and cleaned it up and painted it. We have set it up as a show piece of Jundah history in front of the camp kitchen

09.01.2022 The road from Jundah to Longreach was closed today due to flooding, a convoy of trucks carrying a complete oil and gas drilling rig, a huge piece of machinery, pulled in and they all booked into the cabins, a good night was had by all !!

07.01.2022 We are in the process of closing in the camp kitchen for the winter to keep out that chilly breeze, we have added a second gas stove and also a two door fridge-freezer, it is looking good !!
