25.01.2022 We are holding the ESFA SAP Trials on 29 November 2020. We are looking for advanced level players in the U10-12 age groups to represent our Club in the Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA) SAP League in 2021. ESFA is running its localised Skills Acquisition Program in 2021 to bridge the gap between 'park football' and the Football NSW SAP/NPL league. The program commences in February 2021 and runs until the end of the 2021 winter season.... This is for players who are willing to put in hard work, train twice per week, and put a lot of effort in their self development. We have a history of producing high levels of SAP/NPL players through our programs. 24.01.2022 We wrapped up a great weekend of football. All of our players are showing great development, especially our young ones that are playing up in the U7's, U8's, U10's, and U14's age groups. Today we ran a free holiday clinic for our players ahead of what is forecast to be one wet week. 24.01.2022 What's the pathway we provide at Heffron? Our former U13's players William and Rory represented Australia in the World Youth Futsal Cup held in Spain last year. William has now scored a spot in NPL1 team Hakoah FC and Rory has be secured for Dunbar Rovers' NP2 squad. It's not where you play, it's how hard you work, and how you are coached.... At Heffron, each year between 40-60% of our players get selected into SAP or NPL teams. While we are sad to see them go, we are proud that their hard work is being recognised. Our coaches don't just show up on the day and make up sessions. All of our sessions are delivered through our curriculum. Our coaches deliver it in a certain way that connects with our players. We have signed Brazilian powerhouse club Flamengo's Technical Director (Juniors), Rodrigo Nunes as the new Technical Director for the Heffron Hawks Juniors Football Club. He will working with his coaches to get the best out of our players in 2020. We will be holding trials for our Division 1 teams (in the U8-18's) on Saturday 1st of February 2020. 07.01.2022 It was great to get back to football yesterday. Special mention to our U6's and 7's teams who all had phenomenal games. We saw lots of core moves to beat the defenders, plenty of goals, and of course, lots of creative celebrations after scoring. Even our opposition were impressed. Our U8's had a tough time, going down to the opposition. The first few games transitioning to the bigger pitch is always a challenge.... Our U10's team, predominantly made up of U9's players came back from being 3-0 down at half time to finishing with a 4-3 loss against a strong team. Also our U12's made a come back from a 1-0 losing position at half time to win 4-1. Lastly, was our U14's match. Quite a young team already, we had a shortage of players and thankfully our U12 players helped out. Special mention to Kyus, Mephis, and Flynn was helping out. We played brilliantly against a stronger opposition and went down 6-1. The score was no reflection on the actual game. With hard work, this team is going to really make an impact this season. Massive congratulations to the coaches who have been working hard with our players. 05.01.2022 What do we promote through our Club's Juniors Development Program? We teach our players the Ginga. What is that you ask? Watch legendary futsal player Falcao demonstrate. It is something not developed straight away, but we start teaching it from our U6's so that it isn't about 'doing tricks'. It just becomes a natural way to play for our players.
