21.01.2022 We finished filming a short doco for the Melbourne International Jazz Festival yesterday - watch this space for when it drops soon....

20.01.2022 A big day at West coast Secondary Education Support Centre, Warwick today - where we installed the sculptures that we have been working on with the students. - the first is the Return of the Dralion! - Who previously had his head stolen - so we gave him a total revamp - and he looks better - badder - tougher - and meaner than ever! I also love the idea that somewhere some kid has the severed head of the previous version mounted on his bedroom wall! ;-D... - the second is the Bat-Robot-Elephant-Cat-Cockatoo - or B.R.E.C.C - for short. it was a real challenge installing it up in the tree - but luckily we had Seb and Schmik - two consummate professionals - on the case. The great news is - we were told today that the school wants us to design and build another sculpture with some different students next term! Each time we do this the creatures just get weirder - so we are really looking forward to what they come up with next! Until then... keep on junkin'....

16.01.2022 The final Junk Sculpture Workshop at West Coast Secondary Education Support Centre saw the creation of some kinetic stick insects and the return of an old favourite - The "Koala-Pea-Willy-Cock"! There's quite the quite the menagerie of weird and wonderful creatures there now! Big thanks to all the students and teachers who brought their funky ideas and made the workshops so much fun this year.

11.01.2022 The Earthwise Community Unipegacorn - "Peg" - has finally been installed in to her final home position! Big thanks to all the crew and friends that helped finish her today - and hoist her up in to place. I'm sure she will bring some extra magic to Earthwise...

11.01.2022 After a 4 month Covid Hiatus - we were finally back at West coast Secondary Education Support Centre, Warwick today - working on their Junk Sculptures! One is a Dralion - which we are actually rebuilding from years ago after his head got stolen. The other is a new one - a "Cat-Bat-Cockatoo-Elephant-Robot" creature...... Below are how they are looking so far - and also the original design we worked up with the participants. Two more sessions with them - and they will be installed up in the trees at the school!

07.01.2022 Earthwise Community Entrance Sculpture - Day 4 - A few people have guessed - so I am pleased to reveal that it is indeed a Unicorn-Pegasus - or as Dane Leeden coined a "Unipeggacorn". - There's still a long way to go before it's finished - we need to add it's main, tail, add some personality, finish off all the details, install it at Earthwise - and give her a name...... And there will be open community workshops at Earthwise in Subiaco next Friday and Saturday for you to be involved - details coming very soon....
