21.01.2022 Hey all you folks in the Junktion Bargain Centre community, I’m looking for farmers creating compost. We receive many donations in cardboard boxes which we flatten to recycle as well as newspaper wrapped around breakable items which go into our kerbside recycling bins - let us know if you are interested in adding these to your compost! 19.01.2022 Whilst our pantry service is temporarily closed we continue to operate our emergency food service. Due to covid weve changed things around abit so if you are somebody who has suffered financial hardship and needs support with food please contact the Bargain Centre on 6332 2684 for information on how to access our emergency food service. We are also continuing to truck food out west to other regional charities impacted by covid and drought.

19.01.2022 HopeCare Community Pantry with be resuming normal operating hours on Monday July 6, 2020 after our brief closure and temporary arrangements due to the COVID 19 ...crisis. Registrations will open at 10:00am and last registration will be taken at 12:00pm on Mondays only. In order to comply with social distancing regulations, we have put measures in place: You must use the hand sanitizer provided at the registration desk, You may use the trolley provided to help carry your basket, You will be provided with a 15 minute timeslot in the pantry, You must adhere to social distancing practices of 1.5m between people at all times (it is a legal requirement), and; Children will need to be cared for by another responsible adult as they will not be allowed in the pantry area. The pantry can only permit 4 clients in the pantry at any one time. Thank you for your cooperation with these new measures.

19.01.2022 Unfortunately thieves have broken in to the Hope Care Bargain Centre over night. We estimate up to $2,000 in damage to the shop as well as goods stolen including our new laptop. The shop is currently closed whilst Chifley police are investigating. If anybody has information regarding the incident please contact Chifley police. We hope to re-open the shop at 12pm. Sorry for any inconvenience.

17.01.2022 On behalf of all the staff, volunteers and agency workers at Hope Care, we would like to thank the Bathurst community for rallying around us in the wake of the break-in on the 26/02/21. The past few weeks have been some of the best in recent years for our little charity shop. Through the support of shoppers and local businesses we have recovered the cost of damages to the store and the value of the goods stolen. Thank you Bathurst

Some of our loyal customers have expressed concern that we would not be operating the facility into the future. To clarify, Hope Care is currently finalising our application to extend our lease long term. We will do everything within our power to ensure we will be operating the Junktion and serving the community for many years to come.

11.01.2022 Local businesses who support our local community- Smith and Co Locksmiths Bathurst aren't just our neighbours at the Bargain Centre, they are huge supporters of ours. After our recent break-in the team and Smith and Co locksmiths donated all new locks and keys to help our shop recover. These guys have been helping us out for the past 10 years! They offer a huge range of quality products and provide locksmith expertise for safes, electronic security, residential, commercial and automotive applications. Good on Smith and Co Locksmiths Bathurst for giving back to our local community!

10.01.2022 There are so many great reasons to shop at the Junktion/ Bargain Centre. Great prices, hidden treasures, clean fresh air, open spaces, friendly staff and no large crowds. To make sure we stay open for our customers we have implemented a range of strategies to keep our staff, volunteers and customers healthy. Our goal is to be one of the safest places to shop in Bathurst and ensure staff, volunteers and customers are all protected. All our staff are practicing hand hygiene a...nd disinfecting all common surfaces including items tested/sorted in our workshops. We have changed our roster to allow staff more flexibility and limited the movement of staff between our various sites. Please be patient with our crew while we get used to these changes. All we need you guys to do is follow the same kind of basic hygiene practices and when you shop with us respect, understand and observe what we are doing to keep you safe. Stay smart, stay safe and but most of all keep a smile on your face :)

07.01.2022 JUNKTION UPDATE- On Tuesday the 4/08/2020 Hope Care submitted our application to the Bathurst Regional Council to contine into our 12th year operating the facility. We believe we have put forward a submission of the highest quality, a credit to all of our staff and volunteers who contributed. 05.01.2022 Updating all our customers that the Bargain Centre business hours have temporarily changed but the Junktion hours remain the same. Bargain Centre hours are: 10:00am-3:00pm Monday to Friday. and 9:00am-1:00pm on Saturday. We are shortening our shop hours so that our remaining staff and volunteers can process the amazing volumes of donations that still continue to come into our store thanks to all our loyal customers. We have all been moved by how well you have continued to support our businesses both donating and purchasing. Sales from our stores mean we can continue to provide our emergency and food rescue services across the Central West. From all staff and volunteers we wish everyone a safe and happy Easter.
