22.01.2022 Today I began my new sprint training program. I’m hoping that this type of training will help increase my speed for my longer runs. 14.01.2022 A year ago I never could have posted this. No way. No how. This was my shame. This was my horror. But today, I have no hesitation. No nerves. No oh my gosh wh...at will they say?. Just peace. Because I understand now. I understand that this is just the human body. This is a body that has carried three amazing children. This is a body that has been a range of weights swinging 110lbs in difference. This is a body that used to feel worthless and now feels strong. This is a body that needs to be fed with love, attention, kindness and good food. This is a body, and through PRACTICE and EFFORT and EXERCISE in self care, I have grown to love. This is a body that I will use to help show others that they are not alone in their bodies. My friends, this is your life. This is your body. Whether you’re tall or small, curvy or striped, this is you. And you are beautiful. And it takes time to grasp these things. It’s not something that you SUDDENLY magically feel ok with, but the effort in hate is more draining that the effort in love. So, practice. Because it took years of words, pictures of perfection and endless comparisons to create the voice inside your head to where it is today, and now it’s time to redirect. Now it’s time to fill it with new words, new pictures, and valuable connections. Now it’s time to live. Really live. With peace, and understanding. And a love that will not just fill you, but pour into others. Spreading the truths for more to know. That self love, it’s so worth it. So, practice.

12.01.2022 cellulite is normal. skin moves. if you run, YOU have a runner’s body. This isn’t a bad picture. How could it be? I’m running my 42nd marathon on one of the fa...stest courses in the world - @wmmajors @berlinmarathon & I’m smiling because I was genuinely happy!! I could have worn a tank, knowing the skin on my stomach moves. I could have worn capris or leggings knowing that my thighs rub when I run and that I have cellulite. I didn’t. I wore what was comfortable & I felt confident. I still feel confident. This is me. Sometimes in photos my skin looks smooth, and my muscles are visible and sometimes I look like this - neither way I appear in a photo is better than the other. In two weeks I’ll run my 43rd marathon and a week after that I’ll run my 44th marathon - making that 6 marathons this year, the most I’ve ever run in a year! Fit isn’t a look - it’s a feeling. Don’t let photos steal joy or make you feel badly about yourself or your body! Any picture of you doing something that sets your soul on fire and makes you happy - is a GOOD PHOTO in my book.
