24.01.2022 Like most people I have been following what is happening regarding Coronavirus closely, and trying to play my small part. Last week I took the step to start working from home knowing that it was likely that there was going to be a time where this would be forced upon me anyway. Luckily, I am in an industry where this is possible, however I understand that there are a lot of people who are not fortunate enough to have the ability to work from home. I can only imagine the stre...ss and uncertainty that this is causing. On Friday the Australian Banking Association made a statement regarding provisions that the banks were going to provide in order to assist people, and businesses, to get through the next few months, which are looking tough . The banks can cop a bit of criticism from time to time (and rightly so in many cases), however I was pretty impressed and encouraged by the measures that they have proposed to assist their clients to get through the next 6 months. If you are uncertain about the next few months, and are worried about your loans please feel free to get in touch, this goes out to both clients and those that I havent met. I am more than happy to run through the concessions that the banks are putting forward and how best to take advantage of these. It could be as simple as asking to postpone homeloan payments for a few months. I have spent the last few days researching what each of the banks are putting forward, and for those that I am not all over, I can easily find out what they are doing and get back to you. The government have also announced a number of initiatives to assist, I am not an expert on these, but again, I have the ability obtain this information from people that have spent a lot of time digesting what has been put forward. Whilst things arent great, try and stay positive, being home more has its advantages, not having to travel to and from work meant I was able to spend an hour outside kicking the football with the kids and had a great time. 22.01.2022 With the recent round of rate cuts, more and more people are considering refinancing. Here we explain the "why and how" when looking to refinance.

22.01.2022 In an unprecedented move, the RBA held a special meeting yesterday and have today announced a further cut of 0.25% to interest rates. This brings the official rate to 0.25%. Hopefully the banks pass this on in full as quickly as possible.

21.01.2022 The RBA has today cut official interest rates to a historical low of 1.25%. It is expected that the major banks will be announcing their intentions over the next few days. If your bank doesnt pass on this cut it may be worth reviewing your loan to make sure that you are not paying too much.

21.01.2022 This is a great bunch of kids that look forward to each Saturday morning when they get to play Futsal together. After playing together for two and a half years they have become great mates, but also after two and a half years they have GROWN, meaning they needed new uniforms. The uniform was designed by one of the players, and they wanted a sponsor so they could be like the professional teams. We were only to happy to help out, and I think they look great.

20.01.2022 BREAKING: The RBA has just announced another cut to the official cash rate. If lenders follow suit it is very likely that we might see a variable rate home loan under 3% for the first time ever in Australia.

11.01.2022 Details are still a little light on but it looks as if the promised First Home Loan Deposit Scheme is due to be rolled out in January. In short this is great news for First Home Buyers. They can purchase a home with a 5% deposit and not have to pay lenders mortgage insurance, which can cost as much as $10k. This can be applied for in conjunction with the state based FHOGs and stamp duty concessions. This level of assistance for first home buyers is a fantastic incentive to consider purchasing your first home. 11.01.2022 The Ballarat Cycle Classic is on again this weekend to raise much needed funds for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute. Local rider Andrew Huie has taken the challenge upon himself to raise $5k for the institute. To assist with this he will be attempting to be the the first person in the history of the event to complete both the 50km Mountain Bike Ride and the 100km Road Ride. 10.01.2022 After yesterdays decision by the RBA to cut official interest rates to 0.50% all four major banks, and a number of smaller lenders, have announced that they will be passing this cut on in full.
