08.01.2022 Several community members have asked about the upcoming works at Pratts Park Road and McIvor Highway. JCAG reached out to Regional Roads Victoria and received the following response: "Hi JCAG, ... You're absolutely right, we preparing for the intersection upgrade at Pratts Park Road/McIvor Highway. To make this intersection safer we're: - creating a dedicated right turn lane - installing new signage, safety barriers and street lighting. These works will commence on Monday 7 September and are expected to be completed by late-October, weather dependant." --- Sorry that we don't know any more than this. Kevin (JCAG secretary).

06.01.2022 Two pieces of important news from your bus driver. 1) It is MANDATORY to wear a properly fitted face mask on public transport throughout Victoria - including on the Bendigo-Heathcote bus and the Strathfieldsaye loop (route 71). Drivers report that some people are still boarding these local buses without a mask. Please wear a mask to keep our drivers and other community members safe.... 2) From Wed. 3 February FARES WILL ONCE AGAIN BE COLLECTED on the Bendigo-Heathcote bus. (There was a pause on cash handling due to coronavirus risk). The one-way fares between Junortoun and Bendigo CBD are $2.40 (full-fare) and $1.20 (concession). Please help our drivers by having the correct change available.

04.01.2022 Snakes are out. Take care and be alert!
