Currently we have a consult room in Salamander Bay and are expanding into Tanilba bay to keep up with the growing need. In order to continue supplying this free service we rely on the donations and grants of our local community. 16.01.2022 Call out to the youth of Port Stephens! we are looking for a young person or persons aged between 12 and 18 who would like to tell their story of coming though their mental health journey, insights and coping strategies. Helping to inspire other young people to reach out if they need and letting them know they are not alone. We do not have to show your face if you would like to remain anonymous. 15.01.2022 Many of our kids are struggling to cope with all the challenges of 2020, so local youth mental health services are more important than ever. I recently caught ...up with the team at COPSY again, who’ve worked hard to set up jupiter Australia , a free youth counselling service in Salamander Bay. Despite all the talk acknowledging mental health as a key community concern by both the Morrison and Berejiklian governments, it’s disappointing that they’re still not supporting practical solutions like Jupiter. Given the ongoing challenges our community faces, I’ll be hosting a mental health roundtable in November - details to be provided soon.
