21.01.2022 We are preparing for exceptional times ahead. Understandably, we want to visit our friends, families and loved ones in hospital but we need to ensure they are ...better protected from any COVID-19 community spread. This means refraining from normal visiting patterns. Some of the most vulnerable Western Australians are in our public hospitals. And we want to make sure they're protected, no matter what. So, from Monday 23 March, we're introducing some new restrictions on visitation in WA public hospitals: - Children under 16 will not be allowed to visit patients. - Hospital visiting hours will be limited to two hours a day one in the morning and one in the evening. - All adult patients, including those in maternity wards, will be restricted to two visitors per day. The same two visitors may visit morning and evening. - Visitors to paediatric patients must be the same family members each day. - No visitors will be allowed to see confirmed COVID-19 adult inpatients or COVID-19 inpatients under investigation. - Anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or in self-isolation, will not be able to visit patients These new rules are inconvenient, but they will make a difference and help protect patients and hospital staff.
