18.01.2022 FISH-KILL IN JURIEN BAY MARINA An influx of decomposing seaweed killed off thousands of fish in the Jurien Bay Marina earlier this month. Dandaragan Shire Presi...dent Leslee Holmes is calling on the State Government to provide a long-term solution to the ongoing seaweed infestation. Leslee says the rotting seaweed is hindering development in the area.

17.01.2022 You may have heard a rumor in town.. the Progress Association is taking over the Lions Garage Sale and will be holding the next one tomorrow Saturday 11 July. there is lots of stock available. We have beds and mattresses, tables and chairs, a couple of desks, folding tables and coffee tables as well as bedside tables. Come on down to the shed and check it out. You might just find what you're looking for.

13.01.2022 RUBBISH BE GONE Great to see the result of the Jurien Bay Progress Association Inc recent Town Litter Clean Up day. Although numbers were very low, those that a...ttended removed a lot of rubbish from our local environment - a whole trailer load. Well done to the Progress Association and we've been told they may be holding another one later in the year so get involved if you have a few hours free. If helping your community is your thing, why not become a member? The ratepayer and progress associations in each of our towns work alongside the Shire to guide planning and new ideas for each town and we appreciate all they do.

10.01.2022 Garage Sales are being held every Saturday over the Christmas/January period. The shed is stocked with good quality secondhand furniture and household items. Come down and have a look. Perfect for furnishing a holiday house. We also accept donations of used household furniture and homewares in good, clean condition. 05.01.2022 The Progress association's Garage Sales have been doing really well. this means we are low on stock again, sooo, if you have something that's just taking up space and you would like to get it out of the way, we would would love to hear from you. We can collect donations of furniture and bric-a-brac.
