17.01.2022 Back to reality for us today. We left the cool climate of the south coast yesterday to return home to the rather warm weather for muscle scanning this morning. These fellas are happy to be returning to the shade of a field bin in their paddock. Thanks very much to Michael O'Neill for your skills on the scanner and your great company. ... Here’s hoping for some good rain to help the sheep to a good finish.

11.01.2022 Meet ‘Larry’(9057) our new ram from Karinya Suffolk Stud. A quick trip today to Boyup Brook to pick up Larry in time for Valentine’s Day celebrations. Larry was very keen to make a good impression with his new mates, we are looking forward to seeing the progeny.

07.01.2022 Public holiday family art session. We made a new sign for the dam bank that is along our main road. Installation was late afternoon so the solar lights haven’t had time to charge, will have to go back tomorrow to turn them on and check out our name in lights!

04.01.2022 As we get ready for the WA Elite sale in Williams next Monday we took advantage of Miss Jusak being home for mid-term break and marked our late lambs this morning. Hoping to see you Monday!

04.01.2022 The Great Sheep Shuffle! Today’s sheep shifting efforts saw our AI ewes drafted up and transferred to their back up rams. All the girls are in good condition, which leaves you wondering how big they will be by the time lambing comes in July and August! It was nice to be shifting the girls around onto some green feed in paddocks, we are still looking for the ‘dam filler’ rainfall event though.

02.01.2022 It has been a little quiet here on the Jusak page as we have been in full swing shearing and harvesting. While the crop has been coming off our sheep have been moved into fresh stubbles and our recent Somerset purchase made his journey across to the Vet for his health checks and treatment. We are hoping to have harvest wrapped up in the next few weeks, in time for some muscle scanning in the stud lambs. Looking forward to seeing the results in what has been a tough year water and feed wise.
