25.01.2022 The United Nations says all children should be safe at school, including LGBTIQ kids. Human rights - we all have them. Mark Latham wants to reduce that safety by making it unlawful for teachers to affirm trans kids & preventing schools from educating other kids of our existence in NSW. Rather than defend LGBTIQ kids, the NSW Liberal government wants to explore Latham's retrograde, dangerous proposal and have granted it an official inquiry, allowing Latham to chair, no less.... 20.01.2022 Hey Team, we've had a busy day with a lot of media wanting to cover our friend Clara's decision to surrender her OAM in protest of Margaret Court's further elevation to Australia's highest honour. It's a powerful gesture but it shouldn't have to be this way. We've set up a petition calling on the Governor General to affirm that our highest honours should be the preserve of the best of Australians. We're calling for a review on the standards that have been shown to be beneath ...contemporary Australia. It's not enough that a person was a good tennis player 45 years ago. What she has done with her platform and how she has elevated the nation and those within it should be a significant factor ...and it should discount Court from consideration immediately. 20.01.2022 BREAKING: Overnight the, newly conservative majority, US Supreme Court ruled that LGBTIQ people were entitled to workplace protection. HUZZAH! In Australia, the draft religious discrimination bill would seek to expose LGBTIQ Australians to more discrimination. So, Scott Morrison needs to be asked, "Why is your government intent on reducing LGBTIQ protections, rather than enhancing them?" We support the passing of a Human Rights Act in Australia, to protect all Australians. Yo...u're probably surprised we don't have one. We recognised the ongoing prejudice LGBTIQ people experience and celebrate the amazing contribution that LGBTIQ people around the world are currently providing during this pandemic including doctors, nurses, teachers and care givers.
