02.01.2022 As a wedding florist with lots of time to now reflect, I keep coming back to the question....what is it that l love so much, and now miss, about what we do as wedding florists??? I certainly miss the fun hours creating with my team @nvramolly and @merissadenise with our background music ranging from jazz to praise filling our space amidst our banter across a range of topics... as well, I miss the encouragement we offer each other as we navigate the details of pulling together... all the elements of an order. Those days of taking the raw elements and crafting and creating a cohesive design are certainly fulfilling, and those days are missed. But what I miss most is the JOY!! The JOY when the bride sees her bouquet...the JOY when the couple see our designs fill their ceremony and reception space....the JOY when the couple send us a note telling us how our flower designs added JOY to their day. As wedding florists we have the incredible privilege to contribute to the JOY a couple feels and experiences on their wedding day. And even though our flowers creations will wilt and die after that special day passes, our couples will be able to look back through their photos for many years to come....remembering that JOY filled day. And in some small way we have contributed to that JOYFUL memory. So that is what I miss....I miss being a JOY maker! So for now.... I reschedule and replan with a renewed purpose of a future JOY that is yet to come.
