21.01.2022 I really appreciate Rural Stones method of delivering soils and mulch. Having them in the bag saves using my back for when the pile gets low. Instead of cleaning up after too all I need to do is turn the bag up on the garden bed to get every bit where I need it. Nothing is waisted!!!

19.01.2022 Stay away from the thought of using artificial turf too.

18.01.2022 If you already have a gardener and youre not sure if they have your best interest in mind, ask them these few questions; 1. How often do they sharpen there mower blades? Every week Im inspecting mine to make sure its cutting the grass and not bashing the leaf causing damage that slows the recovery of the lawn. 2 How often do they clean their equipment?... I clean all my gear down between jobs to help prevent the spread of weeds and disease, especially when the grass is wet it will cling to equipment and drop off latter. Every day after work, every bit of equipment gets a thorough clean too. 3 Do they pull and/ or spray weeds to keep them under control? This will save you money in the long run. Weeds should be tackled multiple ways by pulling most out, spraying the rest and using product to help stop more growing in the future. 4. Is the mess cleaned up properly or just blowed out onto the road? Great way to piss off your neighbours and make the street look like a dumping ground. They should be showing pride in their work every visit not just the first time they show up. Understandably if its been raining its very hard to clean your yards. 5. Ask yourself! Do they talk to you after the job is done or send a message later in regards to the health of your gardens and letting you know of any issues as they arise to prevent it getting worse and costing you more money? Also inform you what products to use, when to use, what length they cut your lawn at different seasons and why they made that cut? If your gardener doesnt even do one of these 5 points, its time to make a Call.

17.01.2022 Some before and after photos of smart investing. The cost to hire me to clean up the garden beds of grass, weeds and a bit of a trim up before I mulch will greatly improve your chances of renting or selling. Just ask any realestate agent!

15.01.2022 You dont need technology to work this out yourself. Just find someone in your neighbourhood with fake grass to feel the heat radiating compared to real lawn.

13.01.2022 A few new plants for a client. To help ensure the plants survive Ive added in a range of soil improvers and a specific manure to each of the garden beds that will benefit the soil and each individual plant.

05.01.2022 Just sharpened the mower blades. Mowing lawn with a blunt blade will bash the lawn instead of a clean cut. This will slow the recovery down and also damage the lawn. How would you know if your gardener has blunts blades. 2 ways you can check. 1: have a look at your lawn. If the are patches in your lawn that look like roots and have no or little grass after its been mowed. 2: If you have honky nuts or wood chips on your lawn, have a look at what your gardener does. If they... dont rake it up before hand and just push the mower over it, they are not sharpening their blades. Wood chips will blunt the blades fast and if a gardener sharpens their blades theyll clean the lawn before they mow trying to keep the blades sharp. A gardener who doesnt sharpen their blades is a gardener who doesnt care about your lawn. See more

01.01.2022 With Remembrance day just around the corner, Ive had a person nominated a veteran for help. I would very much like to get something done to help them cope around this time of year as it can be a major trigger for PTSD symptoms. 5 veterans commit suicide within a week after this years Anzac Day. If your unable to donate, please at least share this and spread the message. In the days leading up to and after Remembrance Day. Dont be afraid to ask a Vet if theyre ok and if they have a partner, ask them as a Vet will often say theyre fine.
