20.01.2022 The original block pavers were found to be laid on loose sand and these had sunk over time, causing surface rain water to collect and become trapped. This water was finding its way into the house foundations, causing damage. To overcome the problem, the pavers and sand were lifted. A new storm drain was installed away from the house and the pavers were re-laid on a firm bed of sand and cement, directing surface water away from the house and towards the new storm drain.

20.01.2022 I was recently called to a brand new property to fix some issues after the owner was unable to get the builder to resolve. Basic stuff which just highlights this builders lack of pride / care in his own workmanship. Very sad for the owner

20.01.2022 Yet more problems at a brand new property. This is such a stupid mistake! At the risk of damaging the doors I was able to fix the problem and move one of the screen doors across to the correct channel.... But the problem remains for the new owner, if they need to remove the screen doors or glass doors to for maintenance like changing the rollers.

19.01.2022 Fabrication and installation of a recessed TV unit into a void space.

19.01.2022 A small job this morning for a client. A dent fixed with the help of a heat gun. A lot cheaper than a body shop.

17.01.2022 Repair of collapsed ceiling due to water damage from broken roof tile. In the process of repairing the ceiling, with some patience, I was able to remove the original plaster cornice and reinstall it later to the new ceiling. New ceiling repainted with two coats of primer and flat ceiling white.

15.01.2022 Supporting Mount Colah Girl Guides with the installation of a street library. Nearing completion this facility will be located at the end of Pierre Close, Mount Colah (near the scout and guide hall)

15.01.2022 This room was completely renovated after flood damage. With all the damaged furniture and carpet removed, the existing concrete floor was found to be uneven. Self levelling compound was poured over the floor before new floor tiles were laid. The space was completely redecorated and new flat pack furniture was sourced and assembled to compliment the beautifully clean working space.

15.01.2022 The putty will need a few weeks to dry out before pairing but the old broken window frame was repaired and reinstalled. Love the original tuckpointing work in the brickwork - the work of a master craftsman.

14.01.2022 My shower waste and floor set out with a 1:60 ratio fall. All ready for the floor screed.

14.01.2022 Broken clothes line - replaced

14.01.2022 Yet more problems with this brand new property. The 4 metre length of top rail from a build in wardrobe was fixed to the ceiling with nothing more than 15mm screws fixed to the gyprock ceiling. Such a stupid situation which could have risked very heavy mirror doors falling out of the frame into the bedroom.

12.01.2022 Another fan-tastic modern upgrade.

12.01.2022 I love taking on a challenge... called in to a beautiful 1920s built house to replace a broken pane of glass only to find the glass was the only thing holding the frame together!

12.01.2022 Another task completed this week. A customer wanted to revamp her dinning room chairs. I was able to source material and recover the chairs in a beautiful rich grey suede fabric. My client was delighted with the results.

12.01.2022 Called in to repair some foul looking kitchen drawers at a rental property.

09.01.2022 I had the pleasure of completing the painting and wood staining of this fabulous new kitchen this week.

09.01.2022 This client had a laundry tub and washing machine positioned on a sun deck and wanted these items hidden away when not in use. They were also concerned about loosing daylight to the window above. In building this wooden enclosure, the client needed separate top access to both tub and machine. A door was provided to the front for access to laundry tub cupboard. In making the enclosure, an access panel was included to allow the washing machine to be removed easily in the future, if necessary. The enclosure was finally painted to match the rest of the house.

09.01.2022 Another busy week and satisfied client. 'R5 rated' roof insulation and rangehood extractor and vent kit installed.

08.01.2022 The fan was fitted with a roof ventilation kit. Great care was taken in cutting the existng plaster coving for the flue to minimise any damage.

07.01.2022 More problems with brand new property.

05.01.2022 These old stone steps had been originally laid on dirt causing them to break apart over time. Relaying the stone steps over a concrete base has created a solid repair that will last for years to come.

05.01.2022 Example of roof repair following damage caused by hail storm. New roof covered with SunTuff Solarsmart corrugated sheeting in Polar Ice finish.

04.01.2022 Love my work! This week included building a raised garden bed as shown as well as extending a brick storm drain pit. To finish - formed steps between the two raised beds, some planting and a good layer of chip bark.

04.01.2022 Are you aware of recent NSW regulations requiring windows of certain heights in all strata homes to have restricted openings? This job recently completed by myself.

04.01.2022 Replacing an old terracotta tiled roof. From rotting timbers, perished roofing felt, bodgy repairs in the past and mismatched tiles replaced over the years - how good does this refurbished roof look now? Rotting timbers replaced, new sarking, new battens and reclaimed tiles fitted to match the surrounding roof line. ... All while teaching my daughter some new skills.

03.01.2022 Tired of slamming kitchen cupboard doors and drawers? Let me convert these for soft closing without the need to change existing hinges and drawer slides.

03.01.2022 By installing a new solid timber and glass door, I have managed to add natural light into what was a very dark hallway

02.01.2022 Another busy week and happy client!

02.01.2022 A gust of wind caused this window frame to be ripped from a Ist floor window and drop to the ground. A careful repair of the damaged timber, broken glass and loose putty and the window has been re-installed..
