23.01.2022 Flanagan Nature Reserve - AGM - 07/08/2020 Friday came along and Shane, Cory, Peter, Steve and Bruce headed out to Flanagan Reserve, as did the rain! Friday afternoon came and Shane rang to say don’t come out tonight as we have had to make trenches to take the water away from the campsite. As the rain was coming down Steve, Shane and Cory played Monopoly. Now this is never a good thing to play with Cory as he plays for cattle stations, which Shane and Steve soon found out. 16.01.2022 Re: Trip Report - Clear Mountain 11/07/2020 We had six cars in total, four members and two visitors (old friends of the club). We met at the McDonalds at Browns Plains and left by 8:00am. Before getting to Clear Mountains, we had to pick up the key at the Walkabout Rangers Station. Not far along the track, we had to winch a fallen tree out of the way. It was a group effort to remove it, however, we got it in the end. Clear Mountain is a great place, plenty of hill climbs, c...reek crossings and views which are all maintained by the Rangers. Thanks to John and Beri R, who provided maps and guidance. John had been there recently, which helped when they were leading. We all had lunch along the track. Then after lunch we drove around for little while longer. At the end of the day, we made our own way home. Thanks to all who came. It was a great day. By Shane R See more

07.01.2022 Re: Trip Report - Twin Bridges - 07/06/2020 The day started after the meeting and there were seven cars in total that headed towards Twin Bridges. While traveling through Fernvale, we had to stop at the famous Fernvale Bakery on the Brisbane Valley Pieway. The line-up for a pie was huge, but it was worth the wait! After everyone bought there morning teas and/or snacks we headed up the road. 2kms outside of town we turned left to the Twin Bridges and play area. Vicky, Tracey a...nd I looked for a beautiful lunch site next to the river while the rest of the group played. No one needed recovering while having a good time. After a while, the rest of the group returned and Mick B cooked up some snags for everyone. We chatted and watched the water roll past while having lunch. After lunch we called it a day and made our way home. All in all, it was a good day with great company. By Shane See more

There were 10 cars in all with seven members and three visitors. Shane was leading and Steve jumped in as tail end Charlie and we were off. 04.01.2022 As of Friday midnight and the relaxation of COVID restrictions, this is the latest update from HQPlanations, regarding access to parks and forest areas under th...eir management. Unfortunately at this stage, government restrictions only allow trips 50KM from your residence, and there are still group numbers and social distancing restrictions in place. Some park areas remain closed to 4WDing, such as Bribie Island, Rainbow Beach, Cooloola etc... so please check with the parks sites before embarking on any outing as fines still apply. For our affiliated clubs and insurances... we can advise you that trips are permitted provided that none of State & Territory regulations or restrictions are breached. Be advised there is no specific COVID-19 insurance cover.
