22.01.2022 ARE YOU WAITING FOR A REFUND....KEEP THE PASSAGE BELOW IN MIND.... As 6.5 million Australians travel overseas on holiday every year, it is an enormous task and you cant just undo all these trips within a few weeks. The complexity of the world of travel is incredible and it will take time and a lot of hard work to ensure the best outcomes for all those affected. It was recently reported that Emirates Airways have a backlog of 500,000 refunds and their normal capacity pre-C...OVID was to process 35,000 refunds per month. Within the difficult environment of having their operations grounded and world-wide lock downs, they are urgently working to increase their refund capacity to 150,000 per month that is more than quadrupling their capacity but even then it will take 3 months to work through the backlog. This is the same for all Airlines. You may not be travelling now but we in the Travel industry are all working behind the scenes trying to solve problems. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we do our best in a situation which is beyond our control.
