25.01.2022 So this just happened! Four years ago I had to stop competing in Weight Lifting due to being diagnosed with three cancers. It has been my goal to return to the platform to compete again. Three years ago I had a major MS relapse and was unable to walk, stuck in a wheelchair, let alone weight train. When I return back into the gym I could only lift a 3 kg bar to do a benchpress. It would’ve been so easy to quit but I didn’t. I will be strong and healthy ! I started down the l...ong road to gain my strength back. After last nights zoom session I had a switch in mindset. Today I walked into the gym and did a PB of 32.5kg. The heaviest I’ve lifted in over four years for benchpress. Increasing my PB by 2.5 kg. I am so determined to get to 45kg! So I’ll take today’s win and use that to continue to train at home for the next six weeks in lockdown and return back to the gym stronger than ever! 13.01.2022 It’s my wedding anniversary! Ha! 22 years ago today this was me. 125kg. Size 26. Unhappy even on my wedding day. I am not longer that person, in any way shape or form! Not just physically but oh so mentally totally different. From this I’ve learnt to believe in myself. Follow my dreams. Live my dreams. Live my life and not be someone for someone else!
