25.01.2022 I just wanted to say, that while it's still early days, it reaches the depths of my heart to hear all of your thoughts and feelings about this little film. I have never told anyone, but I am always so very nervous when I meet with anyone about a music video, as in my heart, all I want to do is do the best job for the artist, and for me. I grew up with music. When I was 15, and in high school, I was bright, but my prospects felt so dim. I didn't know where I would end up, but... I was pretty sure I'd never be good at anything. Music was the only thing that made sense to me. It clicked with my soul in a way that nothing else did. It was the lamplight in the dark, and I was the bug drawn to it, if I were to think of the most pertinent metaphor. When I met with Colie, and through the subsequent brainstorming we shared, little meetings and ideas, I had this vision in my mind, that I felt I'd be very upset if I didn't realise it. But through the process, I learnt to let that go. I learnt that my knowledge, and my ego don't always amount to the be all and end all. I'd be remiss to ignore the fact that without some very special people, this little work of art wouldn't be in the world. I'm so very glad that it is, and glad that I've been able to tell this story the way I wanted to. Here's to Colie, and here's to me, and to you. Here's to the next story. <3
