08.01.2022 Tony Hassall has written his 5th Book and this being his first non-fiction book. Its a Practical Guide titled "Winegrape Growing in the Granite Belt". Congratulations Tony, we are all so proud of you. In the acknowledgments Tony wrote that Mike would often say, "Dad you're going to have to write all this down sometime, otherwise how will we remember it all when you're gone?" Now its written down for everyone interested in Winegrape growing, not just son and partner in Ju...st Red Wines. Thanks also to all the local grapegrowers who have helped Tony with gathering photos and information for the writing of this book. If you would like a copy, contact us at the Cellar door, its available also at local outlets:- Ballandean Store, Nutrien Ballandean, QCWT, Stanthorpe Visitor Information Centre. The book Foreward is by James Halliday. See more

03.01.2022 Autumn leaves are picturesque in the tannat block beside the dam, the beautiful colours of the vines as they move towards winter dormancy. It won't be long and they will all be gone and pruning will begin. The fruit of the next vintage is already there in the canes.
