02.01.2022 ~ Candle Care ~ Did you know that when your candle jar turns black it can be caused by a few different reasons? The blackening of the glass is most commonly caused by having your candle in an area where there’s a strong draft, causing the flame to wobble. ... Another cause of blackening is not keeping your wick trimmed, if the wick mushrooms give it a trim. Lastly the wick may be too big for the glass- @ Justsoydelish we trial our weeks in all sizes to get that bit perfect! I’ve added the care instructions for your candle below. Are you lighting your candle right? ~ Place your candle in an area free from drafts pets/children. ~ Light your candle, allow it to burn til the wax pool reaches the edge of the jar (wax has a memory ) ~ For maximum performance burn for 2-4 hours ~ Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 each time before lighting ~ If the jar becomes sooty around the edge simply wipe with damp paper towel after wax has cooled #Justsoydelish #soycandles #caretips #burnitbaby
