25.01.2022 Just another incredulous event in the hospital show that is Richard & Robyn - General Hospital starring the two of us. Only 8 or so weeks ago I was in the Wesley Hospital having emergency surgery for gall stones & gall bladder removal whilst I was supposed to be caring for Richard who had his own issues. Hed just had complete knee replacement surgery (some nurse hey!). Well here I am, back in the Wesley Hospital, where I have been since Saturday lunchtime. A game & cudd...les with one of my visiting pussycats took a nasty turn when she decided to bite me through the thumb - instant agony & 36 hrs later - cellulitis!! Ive been on IV antibiotics since Saturday, fentanyl & more endone & a tetanus injection. Lucky for me, the surgeon has decided this evening that I do not need surgery, so Im able to go home tomorrow lunchtime after more IV Antibiotics tonight & tomorrow morning & then continue on with strong oral antibiotics. I promise I dont have a death wish, nor do I like being in hospital or pain & I definitely dont like all the bloody drama that this brings. Nicci Heath, thank you my beautiful friend, for taking me to to the doctors on Saturday morning; then to the Wesley Emergency department & then going home & packing up all my gear & bringing it back for my stay when we realised that was happening- and even unpacking it all - with Tysons help! Tyson, thanks for putting my socks on! xx Once again, my terrific petsitters have also really stepped up to help Richard & I - thank you guys, you are amazing - Steffan & Grace. The offending pussycat is happily dreaming at home (none the wiser) & Im really looking forward to seeing her & all the other cats & gorgeous dogs keeping Richard company! I miss them. So much!! So until next time ...... sigh! Miss all these guys, plus a couple more not in my photos here! See more

25.01.2022 How lucky are we to have such lovely spaces for our dogs - our natural environment in 4069 is truly special - even in this drought! So, we are busy as all get out now & walks are v v early (6am). Thanks Steffan for your amazing help this year - legend!!! Anyway, if I dont get to posting again before Christmas Day, I wish everyone a wonderful happy & safe Christmas. Please be kind to each other - lifes too short! Xx Richard & Rob xx

23.01.2022 Well, a few bookings are starting to come in for the June/July school holidays - yippee!! During these last several strange weeks, we have had just a few cats & 1/2 dozen regular dogs for day care. Its been very quiet but we have coped. Hoping everyone is safe & well & looking forward to seeing your lovely dogs & cats again soon. Many thanks, Robyn xx

22.01.2022 https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-vic-heathcote- Check out our new American barn house in country Victoria on 5.6 acres!! Heathcote to be precise. And those who know us well, know how pleased Richard is that it is in excellent Shiraz wine country! We are beyond excited & leave Brissie on 30th September- a very special poignant day for us. My mid term plan is to have a bed & breakfast on site (think cabins or tiny homes) where you can bring your dogs & family -... enjoy a farm stay holiday & then leave your dogs if you want to go off travelling to Melbourne or other areas. I will be getting a couple of sheep, a couple of alpacas, chooks, a miniature horse and have my three cats & 2 dogs. There are two dams, a fruit orchard & large vegetable patches a plenty. So keep us in mind for your next interstate holiday - hoping to get something going by Autumn 2021. See more

22.01.2022 Hi all my beautiful clients & friends, After 30+ years of living in Brisbane & in our lovely house for the last 20+ years, Richard & I have made the monumental decision to move to country Victoria to live. One of my sisters lives there, Richards sister lives there, as does our son Ben, so it was something we were always going to do eventually when we retired. Unfortunately the whole devastating coronavirus effect on our business has brought our decision forward by many yea...rs & we are now seeking a quieter style of life close to our family. I am finishing up the business after the school holidays. Thank you so much everyone of you who had supported us over the last several years - this business has been a joy & the love of all the animals has helped ys (especially me) heal so much after our beautiful daughter Katie died 14 years ago. The friendships I have made with you all has been truly wonderful. It has been a very tough decision- 2020 has certainly changed all our lives! Please keep an eye on Facebook marketplace as I will be selling several cat stands, plants, home furnishings etc over the coming days & weeks. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Richard & Robyn xx See more

22.01.2022 Look at me mum - I know how to wink at you!

21.01.2022 Some more lovely dog photos

21.01.2022 Good morning all, I dont usually do this but thought I would do a plug for a brilliant home business in Kenmore. Charmaine owns & runs The Body Sanctuary & offers all types of massages/facials/body treatments etc. She is amazing & well worth going to, best massage & facials Ive ever had .... and she is really lovely. She has just moved here although has been operating her business for many years. https://www.facebook.com/charmainethebodysanctuary/

20.01.2022 Another week gone by, another happy week - even though Im another year older!Life is good - hope everyone has a lovely weekend!!! As most people know, I only take a few big dogs in total however, they have all been here at the same time this year - yet more good planning on my part - no wonder Richard Savill shakes his head! As the days get hotter, our walks get earlier each day so we are all out of the heat as much as possible so if you are dropping dogs off after 7am, please check as the dogs may already have had their walk - it is for their safety - I have seen the deathly results of heat stress in dogs & Ill be damned - it will not happen on my watch!!

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, A big week ahead - Back to school & work next week. Very exciting times ahead for many families; whilst others will be sad and/or relieved that the holidays are over! We had a fabulous time looking after all the animals we had visit & stay - thank you ... & now is a little bit of down time ahead - for just a while! Please note that Richard & I are having the last couple of weeks off late February/early March .... Im not going to tel...l you its another hospital stay but ... oh well!! Watch my shrinking space!!! Isnt it so joyous to see the rain & the change in the landscape again - it been such a long, hot, humid summer with incredibly wild extremes in weather. And now, all around here the water in the creeks & waterholes is full & flowing, clean & clear; grass & gardens are growing again & wild animals & birds have water - at least in this area. I hope its the start of ending the relentless and deadly fires throughout Australia and our land can regenerate; our animals can find their safe space again and all our firefighters & volunteers can relax a bit. Oh, just a reminder that tick season is still very much upon us so please keep all animal treatments up to date. We have found a few ticks on dogs these holidays (not so in past seasons) and if your dog has had their tick treatments regularly, the ticks dont latch on & cause devastating consequences. Of course we check all our dogs after every walk but we dont want to find any ticks at all, particularly as your dog getting a tick is so preventable with the variety of tick cover options available. Wishing everyone all the best for the school and working year & I hope to look after your lovely dogs and cats at some stage during this year ahead. Finally, a reminder that I do take small dogs for doggy day care as well - feel free to call, text or email me for any further info on this. Happy days! 17.01.2022 Waved goodbye to our beautiful home & all its memories of 22years as we drove out for the last time at 2pm today. Towing our van; 3cats & 2 dogs in the car with us for our journey to country Victoria we decided to go as far as Stanthorpe for the night. Well ... things didn’t quite go according to plan. After poor Leo disgraced himself & a messy pitstop, dogs then needed a 2nd pit stop; then a third & then the car overheated going up Cunningham’s Gap & radiator blew. So we had to wait an hour for RACQ towing to get us to the caravan park & we are just arriving. So looking forward to a glass of wine soon as we set up van & feed the animals. Never a dull moment but we are just going with the flow. Apparently may take a day or two to fix car so we will just play it all by ear.

17.01.2022 Socialisation for dogs is extremely important! My business Just Walking the Dog, which caters for homestays for dogs & cats, has pretty much been wiped out with no-one able to go away, due to this insidious Covid 19. I have a few dogs that come for doggie day care fun each Tuesday and one other day (different day each week, determined by me the week before). I am wondering if anyone else is interested in their dog coming along for a fun filled day with other dogs & with us - little dogs only. We have games, water play, lots of cuddles, meditating and good company of up to 8 other dogs to offer. Kenmore based & $40 per day, payable on dropoff. 7am - 6pm. Please support a local business of 13 years.

16.01.2022 What great fun it is to be at the trial off leash dog park at Rafting Ground Reserve. The dogs love it as there is so much space to run & play.

16.01.2022 Back to school & a work day for many who have been on holidays. Many of our houseguests go home over the next two days (yes more come straight away) & everything changes yet it all stays the same! We are celebrating a few family birthdays this month, hence the additional people photos. Richard & his twin Patrick turn 60 today & Ben has a birthday tomorrow. Happy birthday beautiful boys! I dont often take big dogs however at the moment I have Gatsby & Gemma staying - two retrievers who I adore! The most gentle big dogs ever & they have been coming to me for years. Enjoy your days ahead everyone!

15.01.2022 Slowly losing weight (18kgs so far) after weight loss surgery at end of February 2020. 1/2 way to goal weight.

14.01.2022 Well we are definitely busy now, what with school holidays on. Our daily outings for the dogs have taken us to several dog parks & on lead walks around the lovely paths of Brookfield. We have been to the reservoir at Chapel Hill & Mt Cootha bush trails from various starting points. We also have such beautiful cats staying at the moment- 13 of them all cohabiting in a peaceful environment. Lucky for my wonderful petsitters helping me out, thanks Steffan, Grace, Tracey & Sophie. Thanks to Steff for also helping me lay new turf, cleaning the pool & all the other things you help with!! Anyway, have a lovely holiday everyone. Robyn xx

13.01.2022 Wow - how green & lush is everything! Its beautiful. Weve been mowing our lawn every third day - the grass is growing soooo quickly!! My bougainvillea has gone crazy as well, starting to cover the back fence. All our houseguest dogs & cats are happy, as am I - love this job!!! All the dogs get exercise& outing, social stimulation& fun; cuddles & love; we all meditate daily & get quiet time & then yum yum yummy dinner. All this followed by cuddles together on the lounge at night! We are very busy for little dogs at Easter but still have places for cats. Its amazing to think it seems like yesterday was Christmas & we are already thinking about next holidays?? Crazy! Take care everyone, Robyn x

13.01.2022 Day 3. Well today we bought this car it’s a ford Everest (whatever that means). Has all the bells & whistles & means we don’t have to wait in Stanthorpe two weeks for our Pajero to be fixed. It was the only car we looked at but perfect for us. Staying here in Stanthorpe till Wednesday whilst new car gets brakes fitted for towing & then on our way again. Have met so many beautiful people already on our travels. Sitting enjoying some Veuve champagne as we celebrate the settlement in our Mabb st property & the new car & a lovely life. Xx

11.01.2022 Our new favourite off leash dog park - 5 mins from home. So much space to run as well as water all around to splash in.

11.01.2022 Some of our lovely houseguests this Christmas break!! There are more but they may have specifically said no photos today Rob! So all are well, well fed & contentedly enjoying their holidays! Rob & Richard xx

10.01.2022 Fat boy Peanut enjoying family life

10.01.2022 13/12/2019 Dear Robyn Thanks so much for the care you have provided for Jack and Lily over the last few years. They're quite shy cats but when we drop them off with you they hop out of their carriers and head off to see what new toys you've got, and what other cats are around. I've used another wonderful cattery in the past, but there was always a settling in period--not so with Robyn the Cat Whisperer! With best wishes from us all, Jude and Jem, and Jack and Lily... (Jack & Lily are two beautiful tiny Abyssinians.) Thanks so much Jude & Jem - we love looking after your beauties!
