20.01.2022 The Lullaby Project is a cultural story-telling project that encourages participants to explore and share the songs that we sing to children and babies in our c...ultures. Lullaby's give us a sense of comfort and strength, and are naturally calming as they connect us to our family, culture and roots. This 8 week workshop series uses songs, music, stories and dance and drama and weaves these elements into a theatrical piece. This project is a wonderful partnership between JUTE Theatre company, Cairns Safer Streets and Centacare FNQ's Our Place #wearecairnswest project and is all about the arts, movement and building cultural understanding and social connections.

10.01.2022 JUTE | Write Sparks You have good stories to tell, everyone does. But so often those great stories don't get told and that's a huge shame. Stories are life experiences, things that have happened to you or your family, or are happening in your community. Without those stories being told, we stand to lose so much. So what's your story? Write Sparks will help you to tell your story and be the creative person you know you are.... Through interactive sessions with playwright and dramaturge Kathryn Ash, you can expect fun, adventure, challenge, imagination sparks, hands-on writing exercises, ideas coming out of your ears, and the tools to catch those ideas and make them into great stories people will love.
