15.01.2022 One of my "Mates" from the Brisbane Underbelly. Billy Phillips. He was a Natural Artist & was a Cartographer for Queensland Government initially.... Great Tattooist the 'Go to Guy' if you needed a Handgun, BUT an informer ( Lagger) for Police, particularly Glen Hallahan & later Murphy. He Tattooed Me, Bon Scott, Bronco Players, Painters & Dockers, Prostitutes, even Other Tattooists from Melbourne etc.,Brian Bolton (Sunday Sun Reporter who then called Himself the EAGLE because of the Tattoo, Hopeless Drunk) also Billy McCulkin in a very Private part of his anatomy - VERY Painful & that is why Billy McCulkin was then called 'Mouse' This Pic I took of him , he used as one of His 'Promo' pics when he opened in Manhattan Walk , South Brisbane. He received a Letter Bomb in 1967, unfortunately his Girl Tracy opened it & it Blew of her Hands , an eye, half her Teeth etc. rumour has it that Vince arranged it from inside Jail . His Final house was in Vulture street not too far from the McCulkins, in fact their backyards joined , his Female friend who crashed at his house Kelly Pinta adored Barbara & the Girls. Kelly real Name was Camilla but kept that secret from the Streets . She was the most Violent Female I ever knew, but always good with me even when under the influence of Smack &/or Drunk. Billy became a 'Smack Head' & Died some years later.
