Tahlia from Tahlias Masks & Steampunk acessories wanted high quality Instagram product videos to showcase the artistry behind her hat creations. I made a series of short videos in my home studio. 23.01.2022 I love being able to bring stunning fantasy story worlds to life on my book covers. I love the drama and magic in this one. 'Realm Travellers - The Ancient Gateway' by Aussie Author M.J. Raco is an exciting new YA fantasy novel. I'm sure it will be a favourite among those who enjoy the genre. The sequel is being released this week so you can pick up both before Christmas. 23.01.2022 It's always exciting to unbox a book I've designed. This one is extra special because I did the interior formatting as well as the exterior. I am now offering a full service book design package. I create original artwork for your book, in both ebook and print form. I do the interior design for the print book including custom chapter headings and drop caps, plus all the ebook files for kindle and other platforms. 23.01.2022 Well hello there 2021! I'm back on set this week, kicking off the year working as a camera assistant on an Aussie TV show. (no I do not look this glamorous while on set, you caught me) Who is ready to see what this year has to throw at us! This very special flower Friday I present a star-shaped daisy I found on a recent camping trip. An Australian wildflower which I don't know the name of but it's sunny little face kept us cheery at our campsite. I thought it fitting for an Aussie Christmas post! I'll be taking a couple of weeks off from Social media but I'll be back with more film, design and flower content for you all in 2021!

19.01.2022 Happy Halloween! I've been taking lots of flower photos again now that spring has sprung on us. I'll try to get organised and start posting them a bit more regularly. Though i'll be back on a TV show again soon. I thought I'd kick things off on Halloween with the most witchy flower I've ever seen. A purple Columbine. I love how the top has points like witches hats! This is a flower with so many good angles, you'll probably see her again sometime soon.
19.01.2022 I spent the three weeks of my holidays over Christmas/New Year at my family property in Foxground. It rained almost the whole time and was colder than usual for summer. But no one complained, because this time last year, it was raining ash. The contrasts are insane but we are still wearing masks, for different reasons. I felt the need to make something. To remember the 'unprecedented' year that was 2020 and to make a wish for the future. I often struggle to know what to say ...about social & political issues, I tend to feel very deeply and speak little. Even now I'm not sure this is expressing everything I want it to, but it is my attempt. I know how lucky I am to have access to a property like this, and this year I realised exactly how special and unique it is. I want to do more to protect and preserve it. 19.01.2022 This flower Friday I give you: Pansies! No it's not an insult, it's these beautiful blue flowers. Small and delicate, they have pretty little faces that stare up at you cheerily from clusters in the garden. When I was little I used to think their markings looked like little bear faces. 18.01.2022 With all that's going on in the world right now, the latest book cover I worked on seems a fitting one to share. It was a bold choice to make a black and white book cover, they are not so common. It seemed the best way for me to capture the symbolism of the story. 16.01.2022 Thankyou all for such an amazing response to me posting a photo of myself! I am humbled. Another Friday, another flower. This is a different Hebe flower from the Hebe hedge. I love the top down angle on this one, it looks almost like a mandala design. You can see all the tiny flowers which make up the bigger flower, as they transition from green to vibrant purple.
16.01.2022 Daisy details! I'm amazed at the different colours within the middle of this one. What at first looks like a plain white flower, up close you can see the bright yellow pollen and purple base to the petals.

If you've ever wondered whether it's worth paying a professional to do your photography or videography instead of using your phone... The answer is YES! 14.01.2022 This new world of Zoom calls has opened up a couple of different filming opportunities. My mother was contacted and asked for an interview recently. A journalist from Canada is making a documentary about an organisation she was involved with. Usually he would have travelled here to film it but he needed a cinematographer on our side of the world given the circumstances. We setup a Zoom interview so he could ask the questions and I filmed her responses on our side. I loved the chance to break out my own film lights and equipment again! Put a nice spin on working from home!
13.01.2022 Fortnightly flower Fridays are actually happening! Look at me go. This is a mystery flower spotted on a recent camping trip. To me it looks like some kind of poppy, maybe a wild poppy? Who knows, but I love the colour so here she is for you to enjoy.

How was your week? This week I felt fragile. I'd love to blame the cold weather but the fact remains: It's hard to always put on a brave face. With the nightly news broadcasting how bad the economy is doing, it sometimes makes a small business like me want to curl up and give in to despair. 12.01.2022 How was your first week of eased restrictions? Much like flowers in spring, we are emerging from a hibernation and It's going to take some longer than others to bloom again. Sometimes pruning off the dead wood can help this process. What life or business pruning would you like to keep from during lockdown? This Abutilon had been struggling for years until a brutal wind broke off its main stem. We thought it was dead until it started to sprout flowers everywhere and this summer we had masses of happy yellow lanterns. I guess what I'm saying is sometimes you need to simplify things in order to flourish. Something I will try to keep with me as we move forward.

10.01.2022 For those of us lucky enough to have been able to recenter and reset in recent months, there's certainly something to be learned and savoured from a slower pace of life. It's been a long time since I made anything for myself, or from a place of inspiration. During the lockdown/social distancing I started doing yoga classes via zoom with Roaming Yogis. One day Anna's beautiful words during the Savasana (unsure how to spell it) at the end of the class brought inspiration, and the concept for this video was born. I had a truly wonderful time filming this with Anna at the Berry Yoga Shala. I hope watching it brings some peace and thoughtfulness to you all.
10.01.2022 So I'm finally getting into a groove with this posting regularly thing. Flower fridays might become a ritual, it's something I always have a few images of floating around and I used to totally forget to do anything with them. Seems like a nice way to break up the business content too. I spend a lot of time creating images for other people but these ones are just for me! I think I can safely say that this is the cutest mushroom I've ever seen. It was MINISCULE! and the texture and colour are out of this world!
08.01.2022 The first flower Friday for 2021 is dedicated to my godmother, whose garden I found this in. I have her to thank in a large part for my love of flowers and of gardening. A beautiful columbine with her witchy hat and star shaped face. She's pink, but lightly so and her shape is very distinctive. Do you have a favourite flower?
07.01.2022 Jonquils! No I didn't sneeze. These white beauties are a winter favourite of mine. They are bulbs, related to Daffodils that come up year after year. Plus they smell absolutely divine! Such a joy to have flowers that pretty much look after themselves when you're busy running a business.
06.01.2022 Itty bitty red mushrooms for the end of this week. Was certainly a chilly start to winter! Found these little guys in the forest after rain. Such perfection at such a small scale. I know I promised #flowerfridays but this is another #fungusfriday instead. Since the tiny orange mushroom last week was so popular. Nature also knows you don't have to be big to be beautiful... like your business....too much of a stretch? Well...happy Friday anyway!... See more
05.01.2022 Happy Friday! How was your week? This is a macro shot of a Hebe flower, I have a line of them in the garden which will make a hedge eventually. I love the gradient of colours in this. Notice how the water droplets sparkle in the sunlight! I love back lighting. This week I've been working on some content for myself. I finally have some photos of myself to share, so stay tuned for that next week.

I love bringing fantasy worlds and concepts to life on the covers of books. This series is written by talented Aussie Author @M.J. Raco, it was a joy to work on both of the books in her series. 01.01.2022 Product videos! They come in all shapes and sizes. Just like products themselves. You may think that inanimate objects don’t look any good on video but I’m here to prove that idea wrong. I’d love to bring your products to life in video form. For this video my secret weapon was a swivel stool. I made a series of hat videos for the Etsy seller ‘Tahlia’s Masks & Steampunk Accessories’. She wanted to showcase the detail and artistry that goes into them. Designed for Instagram ...so short and sweet. I was able to film these in my home studio which kept costs down.
