13.01.2022 Angus Katen and I had another good ride at our local and did some trail maintenance and snake spotting. After the recent winds there were some more dead trees... down across the track so we cleared another one with my folding bush saw. One more to go. On the way out about 100m from Whitehaven road with Angus leading, a 6ft Red Bellied Black snake crossed the track right in between him and I and slithered down in to the bush. It must have been disturbed by us whilst sunning itself on the warm western facing rocks. Roxy the Cattle Dog is banned for a while as we might see it again and I'm going to pack the snakebite kit just in case. PS I need to do more trail maintenance and remove all the large sticks from the track as one flicked up and bent a spoke on my brand new fat rims
