25.01.2022 Wow, what a cracking 2 days. The Darling Dingoes held their first Talent ID Days. We had kids from Nanango/Kingaroy, Brisbane, Sunny Coast, Gundy, Locker Valley, Warwick and everywhere in between. Thank you to all that attended.... The biggest thank you needs to go to Nick Payne and Grant Spies. Their unrelenting enthusiasm, support and commitment of cricket in this region is inspiring. Working with these guys is a blast. Additionally, Kenneth Wagner has also jumped in to this beast that is the Dingoes. While he may be in the back ground, thanks to Kenneth too for getting involved.

17.01.2022 Welcome to the K78 Team - Rylan Martin. Rylan has joined us as a coach (Qld Cricket Level 1) and is available for 1 on 1's or small group bookings. He has played representative cricket since the age of 12, 1st XI Cricket for Toowoomba Grammar, current DDBBL (Hip Pocket Rockets) and Toowoomba A Grade Cricket Premier with Western Districts. A gun in the field, this off-spinning allrounder has many coaching bases covered.... A proud Lockyer Valley resident, when he is not playing or coaching cricket, Rylan plays some pretty decent touch football and could teach us all a thing or two about frisbee throwing. All of our coaching is delivered via the K78 10-week program. 17.01.2022 K78 would like to thank Cameron Brimblecombe for being our guest coach for our first ever Masterclass at Action Arenas Toowoomba. Brim has done it all with his offspin, playing for the Queensland Bulls, more than a decade in Brisbane Premier Cricket, captaining Queensland Country and on and on. All of these young offies learnt a lot and had a great time in each others company. People travelled some big km's to be there tonight. Over the off season, in term 2, we will run mor...e Masterclass action with leg spin, pace bowling, off spin, wicket keeping, batting and limited overs batting. It looks as though we may have already snagged a Qld Bulls legend for the pace bowling session. Stay tuned and let us know if you would like to be involved with the upcoming Materclass sessions.
13.01.2022 As coaches at all levels, we talk about the importance of the "Top Hand". Strength in controlling the shot etc. In the pictures attached to this post, you see the great Mike Hussey who at around age 12 turned from right hand around to left hand batting therefore using his right hand (his dominant hand) as his top/control hand. The other pic is young Rory Farrell from Warwick who has taken the exact same step as Huss and spent the last 9 months switching to left hand. As Ror...y is one of the youngsters I have recently started coaching, I might be bias but this is a such a gutsy call from him and I am certain it will pay off in time with plenty of practice. There is plenty of evidence from the last 20 years of great cricketers that batted with their dominant hand on top - Gilchrist, Hayden, Michael Clark, Brian Lara and plenty more. What are your thoughts - should we be setting up right handed kids as left handers (And Vice Versa) when there are starting out as juniors?
13.01.2022 My apologies to those who have been inconvenienced but I have to do lockdown. It's like being back at school and getting detention. I know a bit about that!! Anyhow, lets see what mayhem I can create at home over the next 3 days. ... K78 will be back in action this Thursday night and again on Saturday. Thanks to those wonderful people that have supported this little business - loving every minute of it.

02.01.2022 This is Aarush Sharma. Just one of the fine young cricketers that are part of the K78 crew. As you can see, this little 10 year old weapon gives the ball a solid rip. Today was the first time I have seen him bowl. He bowls cracking leggie's considering he is a batsman . . . . and a pretty good one at that.
